Mets' Juan Lagares: DFA'd by Mets

Lagares was designated for assignment by the Mets on Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The Mets purchased the 31-year-old's contract Tuesday, and he didn't have a plate appearance in his two games with the team. Lagares could return to the alternate training site if he goes unclaimed on waivers.
