Jaden Springer: Waived by New Orleans

The Pelicans waived Springer on Thursday, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

Springer had claimed an Opening Night roster spot with the Pelicans, but he didn't see the court during Wednesday's 128-122 loss to the Grizzlies. If another team doesn't scoop him up, the 2021 first-rounder could join the G League's Birmingham Squadron.
