Thomas joined the 49ers in the offseason and he will serve as the backup to George Kittle. As long as Kittle is healthy, Thomas belongs on the waiver wire. But prepare for a fight over him if Kittle misses time. Thomas' skills could play well in this offense, especially in a spot start.
