Ryan Spooner: Continuing on in KHL

Spooner has signed a one-year deal with Shanghai in the KHL, the league announced Saturday.

Spooner hasn't played in the NHL since the 2018-19 season, spending most of the last six seasons in the KHL. The 33-year-old is coming off of an impressive two-year stretch with Avangard in which he recorded 109 points in 142 games, including playoffs.
