Senators' Mark Borowiecki: Has torn MCL

Borowiecki (knee) has suffered a torn MCL, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

Garrioch also reports that Borowiecki is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, but that he should be able to avoid surgery. While that's good news, it doesn't exactly provide solace for fantasy owners (the few that may be out there). Expect another update as progresses in his recovery process, but it's pretty safe to drop him in nearly all leagues.
