  • Duchene will consider all available options this offseason, including Columbus, when evaluating where he wants to play in 2019-20 and beyond, Jeff Svoboda of Jackets' Insider reports. It's not exactly a ringing endorsement for Duchene staying in Ohio, though the club's ability to give him an eight-year max deal will no doubt factor into his decision. The center matched his career-high 70 points this year, split between the Jackets and Senators, plus another 10 points in 10 postseason contests. Along with teammates Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky, the 27-year-old Duchene will be one of the most sought after free agents this summer and should field numerous offers.

  • Duchene scored a power-play goal during Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Bruins in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinals. For the second straight game Duchene fired home the game-winner, although his second-period tally in this one was a lot less dramatic than Saturday's double-overtime goal. The trade deadline acquisition has been huge so far for the Jackets, scoring five goals and nine points through seven playoff games.

  • Duchene scored the winner in Saturday's 3-2 double-overtime win over the Bruins in Game 2. It came on the power play and tied the series 1-1. Duchene was in front of the net and hammered a rebound through Tuukka Rask's legs. The center was brought to Columbus to make a difference. He struggled in the regular season, but has found his game in the playoffs. Duchene has four goals and eight points in six postseason games.

  • Duchene scored an empty-net goal and an assist in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Lightning in Game 4. He lit the lamp in three straight games as the Jackets completed a historic sweep of the Presidents' Trophy winners. Duchene heads into the second round with an impressive three goals and seven points in four games, and Columbus fans should have few regrets now about the price GM Jarmo Kekalainen paid to acquire him at the trade deadline.

  • Duchene scored a goal and added three assists in Friday's 5-1 win over the Lightning in Game 2 of their first-round series. The tally, and one of the helpers, came on the power play. Duchene set a Jackets playoff record with the four-point explosion, and while he had an up-and-down regular-season stint for the club, he may have justified his trade-deadline price tag with this performance. Duchene and Columbus will take a shocking 2-0 series lead back home Sunday.
