Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Registers three helpers
Dahlin logged three assists, four shots on net and two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
Dahlin set up both of Josh Doan's power-play tallies as well as Alex Tuch's game-winning goal 20 seconds into overtime. With a goal and five helpers over his last three games, Dahlin is picking up the pace again on offense. He's at 23 points (10 on the power play), 72 shots on net, 23 hits, 31 blocked shots, 33 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 27 outings this season. The 25-year-old continues to see workhorse usage in a top-pairing role.

Alex Tuch RW | BUF
Sabres' Alex Tuch: Secures win in overtime
Tuch scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
The Sabres blew a three-goal lead in the third period, but Tuch's tally 20 seconds into overtime prevented a total collapse. The 29-year-old winger is up to three goals and a helper over five outings in December. For the season, he's produced 11 goals, 26 points, 74 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 28 hits, 37 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 30 contests. His goal Tuesday was his first game-winner of the campaign.

Tage Thompson C | BUF
Sabres' Tage Thompson: Racks up three more points
Thompson scored a goal on four shots and added two power-play assists in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
Thompson earned his first multi-point effort since Nov. 21 versus the Blackhawks. The 28-year-old has four points, including three on the power play, over his last two games. For the season, he's up to 14 goals, 12 helpers, 108 shots on net, 35 hits and a minus-13 rating through 30 appearances. Thompson's steady top-line usage and spot on the first power-play unit will keep him productive a majority of the time.

Josh Doan RW | BUF
Sabres' Josh Doan: Two power-play goals in win
Doan scored a pair of power-play goals in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
Doan tallied in the first and second periods to help the Sabres build a 3-0 lead. He has three goals and four helpers over his last six outings, with four of those seven points coming on the power play, where he's occupying a spot on the first unit. For the season, the 23-year-old is at 10 goals, 22 points (eight on the power play), 80 shots on net, 29 hits and a minus-7 rating across 30 appearances.

Colten Ellis G | BUF
Sabres' Colten Ellis: In concussion protocol
Ellis entered the concussion protocol after exiting Tuesday's game versus the Oilers, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Ellis will be unavailable until he is cleared from the protocol. The 25-year-old goalie could very well miss some time after getting hit in the first period of Tuesday's game. For as long as he's unavailable, the Sabres' crease will be split between Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Alex Lyon.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Collects overtime win
Lyon stopped 21 of 24 shots he faced in relief of Colten Ellis (upper body) in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
Lyon appeared in relief due to Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's poor performance Monday versus the Flames, and Ellis' injury opened the door for Lyon to get on the ice again. This outing saw Lyon earn his first win since Oct. 24 despite blowing a three-goal lead in the third period. The 33-year-old is now 4-6-3 with a 3.22 GAA and an .899 save percentage over 15 appearances. If Ellis misses time, Lyon and Luukkonen will battle for larger shares of playing time. The Sabres' road trip continues Thursday in Vancouver.

Erik Karlsson D | PIT
Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Unlucky two-assist effort
Karlsson had two assists in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks on Tuesday.
He was unlucky, too -- the game-tying goal with 0.1 second left in the third period went in off his glove, forcing overtime and ultimately the shootout. Karlsson is having another strong season. He has 20 points, including 19 assists, in 28 games, but unless he goes on a real tear, there's no way he can hit double digit snipes. Still, Karlsson is a strong fantasy play.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Heartbreaking loss
Silovs made 26 saves in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks on Tuesday.
The guy simply cannot catch a break. Silovs was 0.1 seconds from a regulation win when Beckett Sennecke shovelled a puck into the net to force OT. And his opponent, Ville Husso, put on a 44-save clinic at the other end of the ice. Silovs is 1-3-5 in his last nine starts. Prior to Tuesday, he was pulled in two consecutive games. There is no reason to consider him a fantasy option right now.

Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Best player on ice in shootout win
Husso made 44 saves in a 4-3 shootout win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday
Husso was the best player on the ice, making massive stops throughout the game including several in overtime and the shootout. Beckett Sennecke's record goal with 0.1 seconds left in the third will steal the oxygen, but Husso was the true star. He has won three straight games and is 4-1-0 in December.

Sidney Crosby C | PIT
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Closing in on massive team record
Crosby picked up an assist Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Croasby moved within five points of Mario Lemieux's team points record. The future Hall-of-Famer has 1,718 points (643 goals, 1,075 assists) in 1,380 games. Crosby has 18 goals, 13 assists and 64 shots in 28 games this season, Those goals are top-five in the NHL right now; his point total puts him squarely in the top 30 overall.
