In shocking return, Shane McMahon-Undertaker set for WrestleMania 32
The start of Monday Night Raw was a major surprise to WWE fans as it included the return of Shane McMahon and the announcement of a huge match for WrestleMania 32.

If you missed the first half hour of WWE's Monday Night Raw, well, you missed a helluva lot.
Not only did it feature the shocking return of Shane McMahon, it included the announcement of a monster match for WrestleMania 32 that absolutely no one could have predicted just 24 hours earlier.
We'll get to the details in a second, but just know this: Shane McMahon will face The Undertaker ... in Hell in a Cell ... at WrestleMania 32 ... with control of Raw on the line for the 46-year-old McMahon.
McMahon, who began his career working for his father Vince McMahon and was on WWE television through 2009, has been gone from the company for six years as he pursued business interests of his own. He has spent a lot of time developing companies in China and is currently the Chairman of the Board of You On Demand, the country's first video on demand and pay-per-view service.
On Monday, McMahon made his return, surprising a Detroit crowd that showered him with cheers for a number of minutes. Eventually, he broke into a storyline, which centered on him wanting to preserve WWE for generations to come and save it from the leadership of his sister, Stephanie McMahon, who he said has run the company into the ground.

(Bringing some real life into the storyline, WWE stock has fallen over the last two years after it reached a 30.94 high in Jan. 2016. It currently stands at 16.35 as of close of business Monday. Television ratings have also continued to slide for the company with WWE unable to make up ground due to a combination of its PG rating, lower fan interest and lacking booking that has not captured the 18-34 audience that made it such a success in the late 1990s and early 2000s.)
Eventually, the father and son reached an agreement after Shane told Vince the reason he was in the ring: He wanted control of Raw, WWE's flagship show. Vince then made a deal with Shane: His son could control Raw if he beat an opponent of his father's choosing whenever he decided. Once Shane agreed, Vince announced that his son's opponent would be legendary WWE superstar The Undertaker, and the match would be held in a Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 32.
This will not be the first Hell in a Cell match for Shane McMahon, who last fought in one at Unforgiven in Sept. 2006. The Undertaker has been the standard bearer in the match and will be competing in his record 14th such match and second in a six-month span (Oct. 2015).
McMahon-Undertaker joins Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as the only two matches currently booked for WrestleMania 32, which is set for April 3 in Arlington, Texas.
The Undertaker is famously 22-1 all-time at WrestleMania, winning 21 consecutive matches until Brock Lesnar ended his streak in 2014. It is not believed that WrestleMania 32 will be The Undertaker's last appearance, but it has also not been made clear otherwise.
