Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright bounced back with a gem Thursday night at home against the Red Sox, improving to 14-6 on the year. The right-hander yielded two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings of work.
Wainwright has allowed two earned runs or fewer in nine of his last 11 starts. He owns a 2.28 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP over 23 starts (162 innings). He will look to keep rolling Tuesday in Miami.
