David Freese gets two hits in return

Cardinals third baseman David Freese went 2 for 3 with one walk, one run and one RBI in his return to the starting lineup Thursday in a 6-5 win over the Brewers. He didn't start each of the past two games while dealing with a slump at the plate.

The two-hit day boosted Freese's line to .192/.288/.231 in 59 plate appearances.
