Jayson Werth expected to undergo MRI on shoulder

Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth is expected to undergo an MRI on his inflamed shoulder, the Washington Post reports.

Manager Matt Williams said that he doesn't expect Werth to need a trip to the disabled list, but the results of an MRI will determine whether that's the case. He dealt with shoulder and ankle issues this weekend before returning to the lineup to go 0 for 1 with three walks, but he's back out of the lineup Tuesday.
