Masahiro Tanaka continued to take American baseball by storm Wednesday night with another superb start, this time in Seattle.

Tanaka pitched the Yankees to victory with a complete-game performance in which he yielded just two runs on six hits, walked one and matched a season-high with 11 strikeouts. His only hiccup was a two-run homer by Robinson Cano in the ninth that ruined his shutout.

The brilliant right-hander has yielded just seven earned runs on 32 hits in his last 44 2/3 innings with seven walks and 45 strikeouts. He owns a major-league best 2.02 ERA and will try to earn his fifth win in five starts Tuesday against Toronto.
