Mike Napoli to pass on qualifying offer

CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman reports that free agent first baseman Mike Napoli is expected to reject the Red Sox's qualifying offer. Rather than take the one-year, $14.1 million deal, Napoli will further explore the free agent market.

If Napoli signs with a team other than the Red Sox, they will receive a draft pick as compensation.
