Blue Jays pitcher R.A. Dickey turned in a strong start Tuesday against the Rays.
Dickey gave up two runs on two hits over seven innings. He struck out six and walked three. Dickey was tagged for both runs early in the start. After getting a strikeout to open the second inning, Dickey loaded the bases on a single, walk and hit by pitch. With the bases juiced, Dickey gave up a run-scoring single and a sac fly. That was all Dickey would give up. After his rough second inning, Dickey would go on to throw five scoreless frames.
With the win, Dickey improved to 11-12. He'll take on the Red Sox in his next start.
