Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered a dislocated ankle Sunday, the team announced.

Griffin injured the ankle while making a throw in the first quarter, and had to be carted off the field. At this point, the team is unsure of how long he is expected to miss, though tests scheduled for Monday will likely reveal more.

If Griffin requires surgery on the ankle, it could be a season-ending injury, though that is yet to be determined.
