  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Exits with shoulder injury

Williams suffered a shoulder injury during Thursday's game in Washington, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports. After his four-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter, Williams didn't receive another touch before the Cowboys deemed him questionable to return. If he's unable to get back into the contest, he'll end Week 17 action with 13 carries for 54 yards and the aforementioned score and no catches (on two targets). Malik Davis should garner most of the RBs reps for as long as Williams is sidelined, but FB Hunter Luepke also is on hand for snaps.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Clear for Thursday

Williams (neck) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game at Washington, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Williams played through a neck injury this past Sunday against the Chargers but still logged a 57 percent snap share en route to 11 touches for 43 yards from scrimmage. He followed up a limited walkthrough Monday with a capped practice Tuesday before handling a full walkthrough Wednesday, clearing him for Week 17 action. Despite being available to the Cowboys offense Thursday, Williams may yield some reps to backup Malik Davis, who has earned eight carries in both of the last two contests.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Remains limited Tuesday

Williams (neck) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Williams is nursing the neck issue coming out of this past Sunday's loss to the Chargers, and though he has yet to turn in a full practice this week, the Cowboys haven't provided an indication that the running back is at risk of missing Thursday's game in Washington. That being said, with the 6-8-1 Cowboys having been eliminated from playoff contention, Williams may not be asked to shoulder the heavy workloads he's managed for most of the first 16 weeks of the season over the next two games. Dallas had already peeled back Williams' playing time and usage in Week 16, as he played 57 percent of snaps and handled a season-low 11 touches while backup Malik Davis saw added work.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Still dealing with neck issue

Williams (neck) was estimated as a limited participant on Monday's practice report, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. The Cowboys held a walkthrough Monday, so Williams' activity level is only an estimate. He also had his practice reps capped Week 16 due to his neck issue, but Williams managed to suit up versus the Chargers without any sort of injury designation. He handled nine rush attempts for 34 yards versus Los Angeles, while also securing two of three targets for nine yards. As long as he's able to remain at least limited in practice Tuesday and Wednesday, Williams will have a solid chance to avoid an injury designation again for Thursday's divisional matchup against the Commanders.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Bottled up by Bolts

Williams carried the ball nine times for 34 yards and caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Chargers. The 43 scrimmage yards represented his second-lowest output of the season, ahead of only the 34 yards he eked out against the Panthers in Week 6. Williams has already put together the best season of his career with 1,147 yards and 10 TDs on the ground and a 35-137-2 line on 49 targets through the air, and he'll look to add to those totals in Week 17 against the Commanders.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Cleared to play Sunday

Williams (neck) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Williams missed part of last week's loss to the Vikings after injuring his shoulder/neck, but he returned for the second half and took most of the carries, albeit with Malik Davis handling the bulk of the snaps on pass plays. Williams' return to full practice participation Friday suggests he won't have limitations this Sunday, though the Cowboys might eventually scale his workload back a bit if/when they're eliminated from playoff contention.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Strong showing after injury scare

Williams rushed the ball 15 times for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Vikings. Williams picked up 13 yards and a touchdown on the Cowboys' first offensive possession, but he then sat out the rest of the first half with a shoulder injury. While he rotated with Malik Davis more than usual in the second half, Williams managed to run and put together a good showing with chunk gains of 21, 15 and 11 yards in the final two quarters. After averaging only 3.4 yards per carry combined across the last two games, this was a solid bounceback effort for Williams, particularly considering he almost certainly wasn't playing at 100 percent.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Returns to SNF after halftime

Williams (shoulder) has returned to Sunday's game against the Vikings, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Williams is back in the game after halftime. He didn't play in the second quarter after being deemed questionable to return due to a shoulder injury in the first quarter. Malik Davis and Hunter Luepke were Dallas' backfield options during Williams' absence, but Luepke won't return due to a concussion.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Hurts shoulder after early TD

Williams (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Vikings, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Williams remained on the sideline without his helmet after being examined by trainers, per Archer. Prior to getting injured in the first quarter, Williams rushed six times for 13 yards and a touchdown. Malik Davis is set to lead Dallas' backfield while Williams is unavailable.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Gets into end zone in loss

Williams rushed 17 times for 67 yards and a touchdown while bringing in two of four targets for no gain in the Cowboys' 44-30 loss to the Lions on Thursday night. Williams put together a workmanlike effort that included his ninth rushing touchdown of the campaign on a one-yard run early in the third quarter. The veteran back eclipsed the 60-yard mark on the ground for the fourth time in the last five games, although he averaged under 4.0 yards per carry for the second straight contest. Williams also crossed the 1,000-yard mark for the season with Thursday's production, and he'll look to exploit a vulnerable Vikings run defense in a Week 15 Sunday night home matchup on Dec. 14.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Tops 100 scrimmage yards

Williams rushed the ball 20 times for 87 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Eagles. He added two receptions on three targets for 14 yards. Williams turned in another solid day as a runner, reaching at least 80 yards on the ground for the third consecutive game. His longest gain went for 20 yards, the first time he's hit that threshold since Week 7. Williams also got a bit more involved as a pass catcher, logging his first multi-reception performance in his last six matchups. While he was unable to find the end zone, he did reach 100 yards from scrimmage for the fifth time this season.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Efficient showing in win

Williams rushed the ball 22 times for 93 yards in Monday's 33-16 win over the Raiders. He added one reception (on one target) for zero yards. Williams topped 20 rushing attempts for the first time this season and turned in an efficient effort. Seven of his 22 carries went for a gain of at least six yards, and he reached 80 rushing yards for the sixth time on the campaign. While it was a solid showing on the field, Williams' fantasy performance was something of a letdown, as he failed to find the end zone and remained uninvolved as a pass catcher. After tallying multiple catches in five of Dallas' first six contests, he has only one reception in four straight contests.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Scores twice in Week 8 loss

Williams rushed 13 times for 41 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 44-24 loss to the Broncos. He also caught one of two targets for eight yards. Williams scored a pair of one-yard rushing touchdowns to bring his season total to eight rushing scores, but Dallas otherwise failed to find the end zone against the stout Denver defense until after waving the white flag and inserting backup quarterback Joe Milton. Williams, the former Broncos running back, continues to dominate touches in Dallas' backfield, especially once top backup Miles Sanders (knee) was ruled out for the season. Williams and the Cowboys host the Cardinals on Monday Night Football in Week 9.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Dominant showing Sunday

Williams took 19 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown while adding one reception (on four targets) for two yards in Sunday's 44-22 win over Washington. Williams got back on track following last week's dud against Carolina (13-29-0) with his second 100-plus yard rushing game of the year. The 25-year-old kicked off the scoring with a short touchdown scamper on the Cowboys' opening drive, then proceeded to eat chunks of yardage throughout the contest. Williams is experiencing a true breakout fantasy campaign with a stellar 111-592-6 rushing line off of a career-best 5.3 YPC through seven starts in 2025. The 2021 second-round pick will get a chance to flex his newfound success against the team that drafted him when the Cowboys visit the Broncos next Sunday.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Finds end zone twice in Week 5 win

Williams carried the ball 16 times for 135 yards and a touchdown and added a four-yard receiving TD while catching one of two targets in Sunday's 37-22 win over the Jets. The former Bronco is having a breakout campaign in Dallas. Williams recorded his first triple-digit rushing performance since Week 13 of his rookie season in 2021, and his first receiving score since Week 10 of 2023, in Sunday's victory. He's now found the end zone six times in his first five games as a Cowboy while racking up 525 scrimmage yards, giving him massive momentum heading into a Week 6 clash with the Panthers.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Top DFS Play

Williams has already been one of the best values in Fantasy Football. He could be even better in Week 5. Miles Sanders is banged up, which could mean more work for Williams, and the Jets have missed the most tackles in the NFL. Williams' Cowboys are favored in this game, and 20 touches shouldn't surprise anyone. Neither should 20 Fantasy points.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Leading rusher on 20 carries Sunday

Williams took 20 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown while corralling all three of his targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 40-40 overtime tie with Green Bay. Williams managed to reach the century mark in total yards while punching in his fourth touchdown in as many starts this season. The 25-year-old is finally delivering on the potential he flashed as a rookie in Denver back in 2021, prior to a serious knee injury in 2022. Williams has a stranglehold on the Cowboys' starting job with 19.8 touches per game, making him a plus fantasy option heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Jets.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Overcomes early fumble

Williams rushed the ball 10 times for 76 yards in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Bears. He added five receptions on five targets for 16 yards. Williams fumbled to end Dallas' first offensive possession, though he wasn't benched and continued to dominate touches while the game was competitive. His rushing volume was muted by game script as the Cowboys trailed for nearly the entire contest, but he was still efficient with his carries. Williams was also involved as a pass catcher and now has 11 combined receptions in the last two games. While he failed to find the end zone for the first time this season, this showing suggests that Williams has a clear hold on the lead-back role in Dallas.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: RBs to Start

In Week 1, Williams scored two rushing touchdowns at Philadelphia to boost his Fantasy production to 20.4 PPR points, and he added 15 carries for 54 yards and two catches for 10 yards on three targets. He then had a monster game in Week 2 against the Giants with 18 carries for 97 yards and a touchdown and six catches for 33 yards on seven targets, so Williams might be for real. This week, he's facing a Bears defense that has allowed three running backs to score at least 13.1 PPR points through two games, and Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery combined for 23 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2. Williams should be considered a solid No. 2 Fantasy running back in all leagues.

  • Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Finds end zone again

Williams carried the ball 18 times for 97 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants. He also caught six of seven targets for 33 yards. After scoring two TDs in a Week 1 loss to the Eagles, Williams churned out another big performance in his second game as a Cowboy, highlighted by a 30-yard run in the third quarter for his third score of the season. The veteran back did benefit from some missed tackles by Giants defenders, but he also showed impressive power, and he continues to solidify his hold on the top job in the Dallas backfield. In Week 3, Williams will take aim at a Bears defense that just got gashed for a combined 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns by the Lions duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
