Colts' Will Mallory: Won't play Week 18
Mallory (lung) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Texans, Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site reports.
Mallory was unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday and is now in line to miss the Week 18 divisional matchup due to a lung issue. The third-year pro from Miami appeared in just two games for Indianapolis this season, catching his lone target for 16 yards across 16 offensive snaps. While Mallory is sidelined Sunday, expect Tyler Warren and Mo Alie-Cox to serve as the Colts' top tight ends.

Colts' Will Mallory: Deemed DNP with lung injury
Mallory (lung) was estimated as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough.
It's not clear when Mallory was hurt, though it may have been Sunday against Jacksonville, when he logged a season-high 11 offensive snaps and made his first catch of the campaign. With the Colts officially eliminated from playoff contention, Mallory could see more work Sunday versus Houston if he's able to suit up, but the lung issue could throw a wrench in that potential opportunity. Mallory will have two more days this week to get onto the practice field before Indianapolis assigns injury designations.

Colts' Will Mallory: Inactive again for Week 10
Mallory (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons in Berlin.
Mallory has been a regular on the Colts' inactive list, having suited up for just one game all season (Week 5 against the Raiders) and playing five total snaps in that contest. He'll continue to be in street clothes on game days so long as the Colts' top three tight ends -- Tyler Warren, Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree -- are all available.

Colts' Will Mallory: Inactive for Week 4
Mallory (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Rams.
The third-year tight end has yet to garner active status this season through four games. Mallory is a clear No. 4 on the depth chart for the time being, slotting in behind star first-round rookie Tyler Warren and veterans Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree.

Colts' Will Mallory: Healthy scratch Week 2
Mallory (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Mallory will be a healthy scratch for a second straight week, and his next chance to play is Week 3 against the Titans on Sunday, Sept. 21. Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree will serve as the Colts' backup tight ends behind rookie first-rounder Tyler Warren.

Colts' Will Mallory: Healthy inactive
Mallory is inactive for Sunday's season opener against Miami due to a coach's decision, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Mallory had a good showing in training camp by all accounts, but he enters the season fourth on the depth chart at tight end and may not be active most game days. Mallory has receiving skills, but no tight end other than Tyler Warren may be a significant factor in the passing game.

Colts' Will Mallory: Having strong training camp
Mallory had one reception for 11 yards on three targets in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay. He's had an impressive training camp that could help him win a roster spot, 93.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
If the Colts keep four tight ends, Mallory is likely battling Jelani Woods and Drew Ogletree for the final spot. Mallory has showed off his receiving ability in training camp, but no tight end other than Tyler Warren may be a significant factor in the passing game.
