St. Louis' Vladimir Tarasenko gets crushed by Mark Olver
St. Louis Blues rookie Vladimir Tarasenko was injured when he was on the receiving end of a big hit from Colorado's Mark Olver.
There was no penalty on the play.
The look on Tarasenko's face on that initial shot after the hit is pretty disturbing.
He left the ice under his own power but there will be some anxious days ahead for the Blues and their fans as they wait to see if any complications arise as a result of the hit.
Tarasenko, the Blues' first-round pick from 2010, is one of the leading contenders for the Rookie of the Year award and has 12 points (six goals, six assists) in his first 17 games. He's second to only Tampa Bay's Cory Conacher in the rookie scoring race.
