Sykora hasn't yet made his NHL debut and will likely be left off the Rangers' Opening Night roster this year, as his call-up was part of several transactions to maximize the Rangers' salary cap as they begin the year with Jimmy Vesey (lower body) on long-term injured reserve. Sykora made 66 appearances for AHL Hartford last year and racked up eight goals and 23 points.
