Islanders' Jesse Nurmi: Reassigned to OHL
The Islanders reassigned Nurmi to OHL London on Tuesday.
Nurmi has recorded one goal and one assist over 12 games with ECHL Worcester this season. He'll now head back to London, where he supplied nine goals, 31 points and a plus-10 rating across 58 regular-season games in 2024-25. The 2023 fourth-round pick also had eight points over 17 playoff outings with the Knights last year.

Islanders' Jesse Nurmi: Off non-roster injured reserve
Nurmi (knee) is off non-roster injured reserve and was reassigned to ECHL Worcester on Thursday, per the AHL transaction page.
Nurmi missed the start of the season due to the injury. The 20-year-old had nine goals and 31 points in 58 regular-season appearances with OHL London in 2024-25.

Islanders' Jesse Nurmi: Set for non-roster injured list
Nurmi (knee) was designated for non-roster injured reserve Monday.
Nurmi is expected to be sidelined until at least late October if not early November, so his designation for non-roster injured reserve shouldn't come as a surprise. Once given the green light, the Finnish winger figures to be headed to AHL Bridgeport, where he will likely play the bulk of his games this season.
