  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Takes loss against Florida

Woll stopped 19 of 23 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Panthers. The last two goals were empty-netters. With lineups resembling that of a preseason game, Woll was unable to get much help from his teammates. This was his fourth loss in a row (0-3-1), and he's allowed 19 goals on 118 shots in that span. Woll is now at 15-16-7 with a 3.34 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 39 appearances. It'll be tough sledding the rest of the way, as the Maple Leafs' home finale is Monday versus the Stars followed by Wednesday's season-ending matchup in Ottawa. It's possible Woll and Artur Akhtyamov will split those games, but neither goalie makes for an appealing streaming option at this time of year.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Starting Saturday

Woll will be between the home pipes versus Florida on Saturday, Mark Masters of TSN reports. Woll has played in seven of the last 11 games for the Maple Leafs, going 1-4-2 with a 4.31 GAA and an .881 save percentage. Overall, he is 15-15-7 with a 3.31 GAA and a .900 save percentage across 38 games this season. The Panthers are 22nd in NHL scoring with 229 goals.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Fills in after Stolarz's injury

Woll stopped 14 of 17 shots in relief of Anthony Stolarz (lower body) in Wednesday's 4-0 loss to the Capitals. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Woll played nearly the whole game after Stolarz went down just 2:34 into the first period. The 27-year-old Woll suffered his third consecutive loss, allowing 15 goals on 95 shots during this span. He's at a 15-15-7 record with a 3.31 GAA and a .900 save percentage over 38 appearances this season. Artur Akhtyamov will get the nod in Thursday's road matchup versus the Islanders, but it's possible Woll sees the bulk of the workload for the Maple Leafs' last three games.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Tough outing Saturday

Woll made 33 saves in a 7-6 overtime loss to the Kings on Saturday. Woll struggled in Saturday's loss. He was deep in his net and down too early way too many times. The Kings beat him on their first three shots of the third period in a span of 1:36. Woll has seen a lot of pucks lately, including at least 40 in four of his last eight starts while going 2-3-3 in that stretch. He may have just 15 wins this season, but his talent has delivered him a save percentage (.902), which is above the league average (.896). It's an impressive feat despite the struggles of his supporting cast.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Protecting road paint

Woll will start in Saturday's road clash against the Kings, per David Alter of The Hockey News. Woll has been dealt a tough hand as of late. He has made 30-plus saves in each of his last eight appearances, but he has only two wins in that span. Overall, the 27-year-old netminder has a 15-14-6 record, a 3.21 GAA and a .904 save percentage across 36 outings this season. He'll draw a favorable matchup against the Kings, who rank 29th in the NHL with 2.62 goals per game this season. Woll profiles as a solid fantasy option in most league formats for Saturday's clash.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Tending twine Saturday

Woll will defend the road net against St. Louis on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports. Woll is coming off a 40-save performance in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Rangers. The 27-year-old from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, has a 15-13-6 record this campaign with two shutouts, a 3.16 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 35 appearances. St. Louis sits 29th in the league with 2.61 goals per game this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Making start Wednesday

Woll will protect the home goal versus the Rangers on Wednesday, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports. Woll was busy in his last start, stopping 39 of 44 shots in a loss to the Senators. The 27-year-old Woll has lost five of his last six outings, going 1-3-2 with 20 goals allowed on 219 shots in that span. The Rangers have scored just 10 goals over their last five games.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Falls to Canes in OT

Woll stopped 32 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to Carolina. Toronto was outshot by the visitors 36-26 in the contest. However, Woll only really wobbled in the second period, as he got beaten three times on 17 shots -- once on a power play, once shorthanded, and once on a penalty shot by Eric Robinson. There wasn't much the 27-year-old Woll could do on Alexander Nikishin's laser off the post in OT. Woll has just one win in eight outings since the Olympic break, going 1-5-2 with a 3.70 GAA and .893 save percentage.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Expected to start Saturday

Woll is slated to defend the road net against Buffalo on Saturday, according to David Alter of The Hockey News. Woll is poised to make his third straight start after he made 36 saves in Thursday's 6-4 win over Anaheim. He has a 14-11-4 record this season with two shutouts, a 3.13 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 30 appearances. Buffalo sits fifth in the 2025-26 campaign with 3.47 goals per game.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Waiting on first win after break

Woll made 30 saves in a 3-1 loss to Montreal on Tuesday. He allowed two goals. Both goals went between Woll's pads, which must frustrate the netminder and his coaches. It might be timing or bad stick positioning, or it might be a technical flaw in Woll's technique. All are easily correctable. Woll is 0-4-0 with 15 goals allowed in four starts since the break. You need to weigh alternate options for your squad until he and the Leafs right the proverbial ship.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Starting in Montreal

Woll will defend the visiting crease Tuesday against the Canadiens, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Woll has dropped three straight outings while allowing 13 goals on 86 shots during that time, and he hasn't been in the win column since Feb. 2. This will be his second start in Montreal this season -- he surrendered four goals on 25 shots in a 5-2 loss Nov. 22. That was his only regular-season loss to the Canadiens in his career, though, as he's 3-1-0 against them overall.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Between pipes Saturday

Woll will defend the home net versus Ottawa on Saturday, Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports. Woll is 13-8-4 with two shutouts, a 2.92 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. Woll stopped 26 of 31 shots in a 7-5 win over the Senators on Dec. 27. Ottawa is 13th in the league with 3.26 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Recovers after three-goal first

Woll made 32 saves in a 5-1 loss to Florida on Thursday. He allowed three goals. All three snipes came in the first period, and then he shut the door. Woll is 13-8-4 with two shutouts, 2.92 GAA and .910 save percentage in 26 starts this season. The Leafs are eight points from a wild-card position, so a sell-off could happen. Woll will stay put, but Anthony Stolarz could theoretically move. And that would change the net dynamics going forward.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Returns to practice

Woll (illness) participated in Saturday's practice, David Alter of The Hockey News reports. Woll returned to the ice after sitting out Thursday's practice session due to the flu. He has posted a 13-7-4 record this season with two shutouts, a 2.92 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 25 appearances this season. Woll and Anthony Stolarz will probably compete for starts once Toronto's schedule resumes against Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Earns win vs. Calgary

Woll stopped 28 of 30 shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Flames. Woll was beaten twice over a 2:31 span in the second period, but Toronto provided him enough support on offense to hand him a second straight win -- something he hadn't achieved since a three-game winning run between Jan. 6 and Jan. 12. Woll has posted uneven numbers since the calendar flipped to 2026, going 5-3-3 with a 3.36 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 12 appearances. Fantasy managers will have to wait to see Woll on the net once again since Anthony Stolarz will get the start against the Oilers on Tuesday.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Slated to start Monday

Woll is expected to patrol the crease on the road against the Flames on Monday, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports. Woll finally broke out of a five-game losing streak with his win over Vancouver on Saturday, in which he stopped 28 of 30 shots. With Woll taking the first game of the Maple Leafs' back-to-back, fantasy managers should expect Anthony Stolarz to get the road start versus the Oilers on Tuesday.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Between pipes Saturday

Woll will defend the road net against Vancouver on Saturday, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports. Woll has lost his last five outings (0-3-2) while allowing 22 goals on 169 shots. He has gone 11-7-4 this campaign with a 3.01 GAA, a 906 save percentage and two shutouts through 23 appearances. Vancouver sits 30th in the league with 2.57 goals per game this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Where-o-where will help come from?

Woll made 24 saves in a 7-4 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday. He allowed six goals. Woll's coach, Craig Berube, summed it up in the post-game media scrum: "You are not going to consistently win in this league by focusing on just scoring goals, you have to play the full rink and right now we are not doing a good enough job without the puck, that's it." Woll is a great young goalie, but when his teammates leave the zone early and miss coverages, there's only so much the guy can do. Woll has felt the pain from a lack of defensive support for a while. He's 0-3-2 in his last five starts dating back to Jan. 12. His .908 save percentage is above league average (.897), but that will continue to drop if the team cannot solve its woes.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Gets little help in loss

Woll stopped 33 of 36 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche. The Maple Leafs very nearly got shut out on home ice, but Max Domi managed to find a power-play tally with just 62 seconds left in the third period. It's the second straight start for Woll in which he received only one goal of support, but he hasn't been doing himself any favors of late, either, going 0-2-2 over his last four outings while allowing 16 goals on 139 shots (.885 save percentage).

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Win slips away in OT

Woll stopped 39 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Red Wings. Both netminders played well, but Woll got let down by his defense in OT -- Easton Cowan lost his footing, and control of the puck, on the wrong side of center ice while trying to cycle back, springing Dylan Larkin and Moritz Seider for a two-on-nothing break that Larkin converted. It was still a strong return to form for Woll after he'd coughed up 11 goals on 62 shots in his prior two outings. The 27-year-old netminder has only one regulation loss in his last 11 appearances, going 6-1-3 with a 3.20 GAA and .902 save percentage.
