    Welcome back college hoops! Not a huge totals guy most of the time, but I am Catholic so I had to bet this matchup on Sunday morning from Rome between Notre Dame and Villanova. It's basically the Pope Leo XIV national championship game (will he be there?) as he's from Chicago (which is Notre Dame's backyard) and graduated from Villanova. I have no idea of either team this early but with all the unusual travel, start time, surroundings, etc. You'd think shots would be clanking. The supposedly superior Wildcats only return two starters, while the Irish are almost entirely new.

    Analysis

    The Bills come into this one with rest advantage off their bye, but their defense figures to be tested by the return of Lamar Jackson. The Bills have surrendered 29+ points to every team but the winless Chargers, and I struggle to see how they get stops against Jackson and Derrick Henry. The Bills' last three games were decided by three points, and against another contender, I would expect this to be a back-and-forth game where one team wins by three or four points. With the opportunity to get the hook here when the lookahead line was Bills -3, I've got to hop on the Ravens while I can.

    Analysis

    The Vikings are the sole undefeated team remaining, but now the schedule gets difficult. Their offense has not impressed despite their record, scoring just four TDs since Week 1. The passing attack was not able to take advantage of a plus matchup against the Colts, with no players recording 50 receiving yards. The Lions defense was able to limit explosive plays from a much better Packers offense last week, holding every player under 60 receiving yards with Brian Branch back in action. The Lions should be more familiar with Brian Flores' aggressive tendencies after Minnesota held the last three teams it faced under 100 net yards. That's not going to happen against this strong Lions attack. I'd make this one Lions -4.

    Analysis

    Brian Branch's return was monumental for the Lions last week, as Detroit held Green Bay to 5.0 yards per play. The hard-hitting safety had four tackles, a pass deflection and an interception, and he energized the entire defense. The Vikings' already shaky offense suffered a blow when running back Aaron Jones aggravated a left knee injury Sunday and was sent for an MRI. It won't be easy against Brian Flores' scary defense. But the last time Jared Goff played at home vs. the Vikings, he went 25 of 37 for 284 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. Back the Lions to hand Minnesota its first loss and cover.

    Analysis

    The expected roster purge in Indy is underway. On Tuesday, the Colts traded two Pro Bowl participants: DT DeForest Buckner and OG Quenton Nelson. Who's next? The Jaguars are fresh off a bye after a two-game London stint. Before the defensive dud against Houston, they allowed just 70 points in five games. Indy's offense is a disaster, with QB Daniel Jones apparently still the starter despite four TD passes and seven interceptions in seven outings. Jax has a playoff run in mind, while its guests are focused more on the No. 1 draft pick.
