Angels' Chris Rodriguez: Undergoes shoulder surgery

Rodriguez (lat) underwent capsule repair surgery on his right shoulder Monday and is expected to miss most of the 2022 season, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rodriguez missed the final seven weeks of the 2021 campaign with a right lat strain, and the shoulder procedure will now cost him the majority of 2022. The 23-year-old made his big-league debut for the Angels in 2021 and posted a 3.64 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 29:15 K:BB across 29.2 innings.
