Cingrani (oblique) threw a scoreless inning with a walk for Triple-A Louisville on Thursday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Manager Bryan Price said he anticipates at least one more rehab outing for Cingrani before the team decides whether to activate him from the DL, but a return appears to be on the horizon. The southpaw had impressed through five appearances with the Reds before being sidelined, posting a 1.93 ERA over 4.2 innings out of the bullpen, so expect him to return to a significant relief role once he gets healthy.
