The Dolphins have designated Brown (quadriceps) to return from IR, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
Brown appears to have a real chance at retaking the field Week 15 versus the Jets, and his return to practice is a notable step in the right direction. The veteran running back hasn't played since Week 7 due to a lingering quad injury. All of Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Phillip Lindsay currently reside on the COVID-19 list after having returned positive tests, and though all three could have a chance to face New York due to being vaccinated, it's also possible that Brown could end up operating as one of the only available options in a backfield that currently only houses a healthy Duke Johnson.
