Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Rattled by Sabres in Game 3
Swayman stopped 25 of 27 shots Thursday during the Bruins' 3-1 loss to the Sabress in Game 3 of their first-round series. Buffalo's final goal was scored into an empty net.
Boston grabbed a 1-0 lead early in the second period, but Swayman couldn't make it stick as his offensive support dried up. The 27-year-old netminder has given up seven goals on 99 shots (.929 save percentage) through the first three games of the season but has just one win to show for it, and Swayman and the Bruins will look to even things up again in Game 4 on Sunday.

Noah Ostlund C | BUF
Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Two points in Game 3 return
Ostlund scored a goal and added an assist Thursday during the Sabres' 3-1 win over the Bruins in Game 3 of their first-round series.
The rookie center had a hand in a Bowen Byram tally that got Buffalo on the board midway through the second period, before Ostlund hustled for an empty-netter late in the third. Ostlund had been sidelined since March 25 due to an upper-body injury, missing the Sabres' last 12 games, but he made an immediate impact in his return after producing 11 goals and 27 points in 60 regular-season contests.

Bowen Byram D | BUF
Sabres' Bowen Byram: Two-point effort in win Thursday
Byram produced a goal and an assist Thursday during the Sabres' 3-1 win over the Bruins in Game 3 of their first-round series.
The 24-year-old blueliner got Buffalo on the board midway through the second period before helping to set up Alex Tuch's game-winner early in the third. Byram delivered a career-high 11 goals and 42 points over 82 games during the regular season, and he's stepped up his output to begin the playoffs with two goals and three points in three contests.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Sharp in Game 3 start
Lyon made 24 saves Thursday during the Sabres' 3-1 win over the Bruins in Game 3 of their first-round series.
A Tanner Jeannot tally early in the second period spoiled his shutout bid, but Lyon still delivered a strong performance in his first start of the postseason, including a denial on a Viktor Arvidsson penalty shot while the Sabres were still down 1-0. The 33-year-old netminder appears to be coach Lindy Ruff's top choice between the pipes after Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen gave up seven goals on 40 shots (.825 save percentage) in the first two games of the season, positioning Lyon to get the nod again in Game 4 on Sunday.

Eric Robinson LW | CAR
Hurricanes' Eric Robinson: Picks up helper in win
Robinson notched an assist and two hits in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Senators in Game 3.
Robinson has played in all three playoff games so far, though he could get swapped out for Nicolas Deslauriers if the Hurricanes want more toughness later on. This helper ended a 13-game point drought for Robinson. The winger picked up 18 points, 84 shots on net, 90 hits and a plus-7 rating over 67 regular-season contests. He's in his third career playoff run, having collected just four points across 25 games over the previous two postseasons he participated in.

Taylor Hall LW | CAR
Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Dishes two helpers in Game 3 win
Hall logged two assists, three shots on goal, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Senators in Game 3.
Hall is rolling this postseason with a goal, four assists, 12 shots on net, five hits and a plus-4 rating over three games. He's found a home on the second line in the playoffs, which gives him a decent chance of continuing his success. The winger had 48 points, 137 shots on net and 53 hits across 80 regular-season outings. Hall is in the playoffs for the seventh time in his career -- over the previous six runs, he logged 35 points across 54 games.

Nick Cousins C | OTT
Senators' Nick Cousins: Gathers helper Thursday
Cousins notched an assist and five hits in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3.
Goals have been hard to find for the Senators -- they're getting outscored 7-3 over three games in this first-round series. Cousins has gone 13 contests without scoring, picking up three helpers in that span. He's a veteran of 68 playoff games prior to this year, in which he earned 15 points over seven separate postseason runs. Cousins had 23 points, 79 shots on net, 92 PIM, 169 hits and 41 blocked shots over 81 regular-season outings this year.

Alex Laferriere RW | LA
Kings' Alex Laferriere: Helps out on both goals in loss
Laferriere registered two assists, six shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche in Game 3.
Laferriere has done alright with three helpers (two on the power play), 14 shots, 12 hits and a minus-2 rating over three contests in this first-round series. That gives him involvement in three of the Kings' four goals. This is his third taste of postseason action -- he logged five points across 11 games over each of the last two playoff runs, though Laferriere is on the verge of going 0-for-3 in getting out of the first round in his young career.

Trevor Moore LW | LA
Kings' Trevor Moore: Deposits goal in loss
Moore scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche in Game 3.
This was Moore's first goal and second point over three games this postseason. He's added eight shots on net, five hits and a minus-1 rating, serving as an effective middle-six winger despite the Kings being down 3-0 in the series. In his previous playoff experience, he collected 14 points in 31 appearances over five separate postseason runs.

Adrian Kempe RW | LA
Kings' Adrian Kempe: Pots power-play goal
Kempe scored a power-play goal on two shots and went minus-3 in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche in Game 3.
Kempe has had trouble this postseason, as this was his first goal in three playoff games. He's added five shots on net, three hits, four PIM and a minus-3 rating. The Kings are facing elimination as soon as Sunday's Game 4, so they'll need more out of their top players. In previous playoff runs, Kempe collected 15 goals and 29 points across 28 appearances. Barring a miracle, this will be the fifth straight year with a first-round exit for the Kings.
