Yankees pitcher David Phelps put together a dominant performance on Friday against the A's in Oakland, picking up his second win of the season. The right-hander permitted two hits and three walks while striking out four over 6 2/3 innings of a 7-0 victory.

Phelps lowered his ERA from 4.88 to 4.32 on the year. He's posted a 1.42 WHIP and 50:25 K:BB ratio in 58 1/3 innings. He will make his next start Thursday at home against Toronto.
