The Marlins are deciding whether Cardinals third baseman David Freese is a realistic option to fill their vacancy at third base, MLB.com reports.
Freese made $3.15 million in 2013 while hitting .262/.340/.381 with nine home runs and 60 RBI in 462 at-bats. He's scheduled to reach free agency after the 2015 season.
