Nathan Peterman: Joins Falcons' practice squad
Peterman was signed to the Falcons' practice squad Tuesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Peterman was released by the Raiders last Tuesday after spending the preseason as an extra depth option behind Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell at quarterback. Peterman played in two games with the Bears in 2023 and he'll likely operate as an emergency backup option in Atlanta with Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix on the active roster.

Nathan Peterman: Cut by Las Vegas
The Raiders released Peterman on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Peterman was brought in two weeks ago as preseason depth, and he started the Raiders' exhibition finale with Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell resting. Peterman went 12 of 19 passing for 108 yards and one touchdown, but it wasn't enough to convince the Raiders to keep him on the 53-man roster. Peterman could be an emergency QB3 on the practice squad.

Raiders' Nathan Peterman: Starts Friday's preseason finale
Peterman completed 12 of 19 pass attempts for 108 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason finale against the 49ers.
Peterman was signed to the Raiders earlier this preseason after getting cut loose by the Saints on Aug. 2. The veteran journeyman rejoins Las Vegas for the second time in his pro career in an attempt to back up journeyman starter Gardner Minshew this upcoming season. Peterman would still have to beat out the current frontrunner for the No. 2 position, Aidan O'Connell, who was one of the healthy scratches in Friday's exhibition.

Raiders' Nathan Peterman: Returns to Raiders
The Raiders signed Peterman to the training camp roster Tuesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
Peterman was let go by the Saints on Aug. 2, and it didn't take long for the journeyman quarterback to catch onto another team. The 2017 fifth-round pick appeared in two games for the Raiders across 2020 and 2021. If Peterman wishes to secure a spot on Las Vegas' 53-man roster, he'll have to beat out Carter Bradley and Anthony Brown for the No. 3 emergency quarterback job behind Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell.

Nathan Peterman: Cut by New Orleans
Peterman was cut by the Saints on Friday in a corresponding move to the addition of Samson Nacua, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Peterman's stint with the Saints is now over after being signed to the team back in March. The 6-foot-2 quarterback was the third-string quarterback in Chicago's offense this past season, and he will now likely search for a team to give him a similar opportunity ahead of the 2024 season.

Bears' Nathan Peterman: Serving as emergency QB in Week 14
Peterman (coach's decision) is inactive against the Lions on Sunday, though he will serve as Chicago's emergency quarterback.
With Justin Fields starting and Tyson Bagent backing him up, Peterman will be able to play in the Week 14 contest only if both quarterbacks are injured. Peterman has seen action in just one game this year, taking three snaps and losing four yards on two rushes without attempting a pass in Week 7 against Las Vegas.
