  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Takes loss in playoff-like game

Gustavsson made 19 saves in a 6-3 loss to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. He allowed four goals.

The game was a deadlock until there was just 2:53 left in the third -- the teams were playing playoff hockey. Gustavsson is 26-12-6 with four shutouts, 2.51 GAA and .911 save percentage this season. Since mid-January, he is 12-3-1 with a .909 save percentage in 16 appearances. Gustavsson is the top dog in the Wild net right now. Jesper Wallstedt has tremendous promise, but he's 2-5-2 with an .890 save percentage in eight outings in the same span.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: In goal in Tampa Bay

Gustavsson will occupy the road net Tuesday against the Lightning, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.

Gustavsson is currently at the top of his game -- he's won back-to-back outings and five of his last six while stopping 142 of 153 shots (.928 save percentage) in that time. One of those five wins came against Tampa Bay on March 3, a game during which the Swedish netminder allowed just one goal on 25 shots in a 5-1 win. This is the Lightning's first game at home following a four-game road trip out west, and they are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss in Calgary on Sunday.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Stellar in OT win over Stars

Gustavsson stopped 28 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over Dallas.

The only puck that got past him came on a Stars power play late in the first period, and it had to deflect off two Wild players along the way. Gustavsson has allowed more than three goals only once in eight starts since the Olympic break, going 6-2-0 with a dazzling 1.76 GAA and .936 save percentage.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Between pipes versus Stars

Gustavsson will tend the twine at home against Dallas on Saturday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Gustavsson has been splitting the workload with Jesper Wallstedt of late, starting in four of the Wild's last eight contests. In those outings, the 27-year-old Gustavsson is 3-1-0 with a 2.28 GAA and one shutout. While the team may continue to divide the work in the regular season, it will likely be Gustavsson's net come the playoffs.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Starting in Chicago

Gustavsson will defend the road net against the Blackhawks on Tuesday, according to Joe Smith of The Athletic.

Gustavsson's stretch of solid play between the pipes came to a halt Saturday against the Rangers, a game in which he surrendered four goals on 18 shots in a 4-2 loss. The Swedish netminder has registered a 24-11-6 record with four shutouts, a 2.50 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 42 appearances this season. Gustavsson has a favorable matchup against a Blackhawks club that sits 30th in the NHL with 2.61 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Falls to Rangers

Gustavsson stopped 14 shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

Minnesota dominated play on home ice and out-shot New York 48-18, but Igor Shesterkin stood on his head in the other crease to steal a win. For his part, Gustavsson might want another crack at a Vladislav Gavrikov tally late in the first period -- the defenseman slapped a no-look backhand toward the net from a sharp angle, and Gustavsson was late squeezing the near post -- but otherwise he couldn't be faulted for the result. It was the first time in six starts since the Olympic break that the 27-year-old netminder has given up more than two goals, a stretch in which he's gone 4-2-0 with a stellar 1.69 GAA and .940 save percentage.

Gustavsson stopped all 25 shots he faced in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Mammoth.

The 27-year-old goaltender has allowed two or fewer goals in each of his five appearances since the break, a stretch in which he's gone 4-1-0 with a 1.21 GAA and an impressive, yet unsustainable, .960 save percentage.

Gustavsson has won back-to-back outings and is 5-1-0 with a 2.30 GAA and a .922 save percentage since the beginning of February. The Wild should have the upper hand Tuesday, as they have been off since Sunday, while the Mammoth are on the second half of a back-to-back after losing 3-2 in overtime in Chicago on Monday. Gustavsson faced Utah in the first month of the season, conceding five goals on 40 shots in a 6-2 home loss Oct. 25.

Gustavsson improved to 23-10-6 with a 2.53 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 40 appearances. The Wild have another tough matchup ahead as they're set to visit the Avalanche on Sunday. • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Tending twine in Vegas

Gustavsson will protect the road goal versus the Golden Knights on Friday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.

Gustavsson has five wins in his last six NHL games. He's posted a .927 save percentage in that span as well. The Wild look to be leaning on Gustavsson at this point, putting him firmly ahead of Jesper Wallstedt on the depth chart. This is a tough matchup, but Gustavsson's recent play suggests he can keep the Wild in it against anyone.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Sharp against Lightning

Gustavsson stopped 24 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Lightning.

The game was close through two periods, and Gustavsson did his job while the Wild worked to build a lead. The lone goal against was a second-period tally by Nikita Kucherov. He's now at a 22-10-6 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 39 appearances this season. • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Takes close loss

Gustavsson stopped 21 of 23 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Blues. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Gustavsson couldn't keep the game tied late in the third period, with Pavel Buchnevich scoring the winner with 3:39 to go. This performance ended Gustavsson's four-game winning streak, though it was still a decent effort. He's now at a 21-10-6 record with a 2.58 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 38 appearances. The Wild have alternated goalies at times but weren't doing so in January, so it remains to be seen if Gustavsson will claim a majority of the starts over Jesper Wallstedt as the team looks to solidify its place in the standings.

Gustavsson (illness) is expected to back up Jesper Wallstedt for Friday's road game versus the Mammoth, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Gustavsson was ill Thursday but still put in a good performance to earn the win. He has a 21-9-6 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 37 outings this season. While he's on the bench Friday, Gustavsson is the Wild's more experienced goalie and may take a slight majority of the playing time moving forward.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Leaves game late

Gustavsson exited Thursday's game versus the Avalanche late in the third period after getting ill in his crease, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Prior to his exit, Gustavsson stopped 44 of 45 shots in what was ultimately a winning effort. It's all the more impressive that he was able to play that well at less than 100 percent health. The goalie will likely be on the bench Friday versus the Mammoth, as Jesper Wallstedt seems likely to get the nod in the second half of a back-to-back set.
