Stars' Cameron Schmidt: In on all four goals in loss
Schmidt scored twice on seven shots and added two assists in WHL Vancouver's 7-4 loss to Edmonton on Saturday.
Schmidt had been held to four points over his previous six games combined. The dynamic winger has 14 goals and 16 helpers through 20 appearances this season. Schmidt is well on his way to surpassing the 40-goal, 78-point campaign he had in 61 regular-season outings a year ago.

Stars' Cameron Schmidt: Piling up points
Schmidt scored twice on seven shots and added an assist in WHL Vancouver's 5-4 overtime win over Kamloops on Saturday.
Schmidt is playing like a giant for the Giants, earning nine goals and 13 assists over 13 games this season. The 18-year-old winger, a Dallas prospect after his selection at 94th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, has displayed excellent scoring in the junior ranks since 2023-24. He's mixing in creativity with a quality shot, and that versatility for creating offense should go a long way in helping him prove himself as an undersized winger.

Stars' Cameron Schmidt: Three points in WHL loss
Schmidt scored twice on eight shots and added an assist in WHL Vancouver's 4-3 loss to Penticton on Saturday.
Despite the end result, Schmidt had a highly productive game for the Giants. He's a talented scorer for an undersized player -- that's not something that will hold him back in junior, but he'll need to fill out his 5-foot-8 frame to find success as a professional. He's up to five goals and 10 assists over 10 games this season, showcasing a bit of playmaking compared to when he had 40 goals and 78 points in 61 regular-season outings in 2024-25.
