Manager Joe Maddon announced that Lester would be an option out of the Cubs bullpen if he is needed, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Lester pitched well in Game 5 of the World Series, and given the fact that there is an off-day before Game 6 on Tuesday, Maddon seems confident that the left-hander can come out of the bullpen at some point. It's more likely that he'll be deployed in a Game 7 so that he isn't pitching again on just two days rest, but the veteran's usage will likely depend on how the Cubs fare in Game 6.
