Williams will return to the second unit for Wednesday's game against the Lakers. Alex Caruso (foot) is back and starting, so Williams will return to a reserve role in which he's averaging 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 triples per game on 52.9 percent shooting.... See More ... See Less

Bulls' Patrick Williams: Produces across board in loss
Williams finished with 16 points (7-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 30 minutes in Monday's 124-112 loss to the Clippers. Starting for the fourth time in five games, Williams came through with his best all-around stat line during that stretch. Even if he ends up receiving close to 30 minutes on a more consistent basis, Williams hasn't shown he can be a reliable producer from game to game this season, so managers may not benefit from chasing Monday's performance. Williams is still likely to lose out on minutes to some degree anyway, as Alex Caruso (foot) was sitting out Monday and should eat into the roles of Williams and Coby White once he's healthy again.... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Gets chance with first unit
Williams is starting Monday's game against the Clippers. Williams will step in for Alex Caruso, who was ruled out prior to tipoff due to a foot injury. The Florida State product has started three of his team's last four contests and is averaging 7.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks over this brief stretch.... See More ... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Blocks three shots in win
Williams contributed 10 points (3-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three blocks and one steal in 27 minutes during Friday's 124-96 win over the Trail Blazers. Williams racked up four combined steals and blocks in the win, salvaging an otherwise empty performance. Despite being afforded a huge opportunity this season, Williams has been unable to make any progress in terms of lifting his fantasy game. In almost 29 minutes per game, he is barely inside the top 150, making him a far better target in deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Back starting Monday
Williams is starting Monday's contest against the 76ers. With Alex Caruso (foot) sidelined, Williams finds himself back in Chicago's starting lineup Monday. The third-year pro began the season as a regular starter for the Bulls but was shifted to a bench role after the acquisition of Patrick Beverley. The UNC product has started 59 contests this season, averaging 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 29.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Lights up steals column in loss
Williams generated 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), four rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 117-114 loss to the Kings. Williams hit double figures in the scoring column for the third time in four games, but his big production in the steals category was the primary takeaway from his line for fantasy purposes. The third-year player is averaging 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks per game on the season, but attempting to stream him for defensive statistics has been a hit-or-miss endeavor. Prior to Wednesday, Williams recorded only one steal over his last five games, and while he delivered five blocks in that same stretch, they all came within two games.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Pours in 18 points in win
Williams amassed 18 points (8-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and one steal in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 117-96 victory over Denver. Williams has moved to a bench role since the Bulls signed Patrick Beverley in the buyout market. The move has reduced his upside, but he's shot efficiently (63.3 percent from the field) since the All-Star break, and the 18-point effort Wednesday was his first time reaching that mark since Jan. 23. Over the past seven games (one start), the forward has averaged 11.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 25.6 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Offers nothing in starting role
Williams supplied nine points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and three rebounds in 29 minutes during Friday's 125-104 loss to the Suns. Williams moved back into the starting lineup, although you wouldn't know it by looking at the box score. Despite having a consistent role for most of the season, Williams has been unable to elevate his production. He is barely inside the top 140, putting him well outside the realms of being a must-roster player. His lack of upside in any category also makes it difficult to stream him, leaving him as a deep-league commodity at best.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Gets start against Phoenix
Williams will start against the Suns on Friday. The Bulls are moving Alex Caruso to the bench Friday, as they likely want Williams to slow Kevin Durant down as much as possible. Williams' scoring output has been trending down recently, but he's been a solid contributor in the defensive categories.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Available Wednesday
Williams (ankle) will play in Wednesday's game versus the Pistons. Williams was initially termed probable for the contest and will indeed suit up despite the initial injury label. After a long stretch as a starter, Williams has shifted to the bench over the last three games. Since the move, he's averaging 10.0 points 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals over 23.7 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Probable Wednesday
Williams is probable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons due to a right ankle sprain. With Patrick Beverley in the mix, Williams has come off the bench in three straight games and is averaging 10.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game during that stretch. Although he's dealing with an ankle issue ahead of Wednesday's matchup, he'll likely be able to suit up and should garner a similar reserve role versus Detroit.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Plays well off bench
Williams finished Friday's 131-87 win over the Nets with 17 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 5-8 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals across 28 minutes. Despite his demotion to the bench, Williams was heavily involved Friday and had an expanded offensive role with the second unit. His offense is trending up with double-digit points in four of his last five games, and his defensive activity has been great too with a total of 10 steals in that same stretch.... See More ... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Coming off bench
Williams will come off the bench Friday against the Nets. Williams had started 58 of 59 games prior to this news, but Alex Caruso will join Patrick Beverley, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic in the starting lineup Friday. While this will negatively impact Williams' minutes, it's possible he sees a bit more usage with the second unit.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Serviceable effort Thursday
Williams contributed 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 30 minutes during Thursday's 112-100 loss to the Bucks. Williams wasn't terrible in the loss, something that should be viewed as a positive given his recent production, or lack thereof. Despite having a consistent role, Williams continues to offer bucket loads of mediocrity, keeping him on the outside looking in when it comes to standard fantasy leagues. Despite a few flashes throughout the season, he should be viewed as a situational stream candidate on most nights. However, the Bulls are certainly not looking like a team bound for the playoffs, meaning Williams could move up the offensive pecking order should the team decide to lean more on its youth down the stretch.... Bulls' Patrick Williams: Bounces back with solid outing
Williams recorded 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds, four steals and three assists across 33 minutes during Saturday's 97-89 loss to the Cavaliers. Coming into the contest, Williams had averaged 6.8 points on 36.8 percent shooting over his previous five appearances. However, he bounced back with an efficient offensive outing against Cleveland and posted a season-high four steals to submit a well-rounded performance. The third-year forward continues to battle a sprained right ankle, but he's yet to miss a game this season.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Good to go at Cleveland
Williams (ankle) has been cleared to play in Saturday's contest against the Cavaliers. A sprained right ankle won't stop Williams from playing, and he's yet to miss a game this season. His shot has fallen off lately, however, with the forward shooting just 42.9 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three for 9.2 points in 28.0 minutes per game across the past nine matchups.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Available vs. Nets
Williams (ankle) is available for Thursday's matchup at Brooklyn. Despite a sprained right ankle, Williams will play Thursday, and the forward has yet to miss a game this season. Over the past 10 contests, he's averaged 10.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.0 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Expected to play Thursday
Williams is probable for Thursday's game versus the Nets due to a right ankle sprain. Williams has yet to miss a game this season and will likely play through a nagging ankle injury Thursday. The 21-year-old forward is averaging 8.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 28.2 minutes across his last five appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Upgraded to available
Williams (ankle) has been cleared to play against the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Williams was carrying a probable tag prior to this update. He played just 18 minutes Monday against the Spurs, so he should be pretty fresh for this contest.... See More ... See Less -
Bulls' Patrick Williams: Probable Tuesday
Williams is listed as probable for Tuesday's game versus the Grizzlies with a right ankle sprain. Williams held the same designation before Monday's game and suited up, but he played just 18 minutes in the 128-104 win and finished with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal. The blowout nature of the game rather than the ankle injury might have been the primary reason behind Williams' low minutes load, but his status will be worth confirming nonetheless in advance of Tuesday's 8 p.m. ET opening tip....
