Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Cleared to play
Ferguson (calf) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at the Giants, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Ferguson didn't finish last week's game but will be available for the season finale after upgrading to full practice participation Friday. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones noted that the team could remove key veterans at some point Sunday, but there hasn't been any hint of that from the coaching staff.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Limited Thursday
Ferguson (calf) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
After spending Wednesday's session on the side working with trainers, Ferguson showed some progress with the calf injury that knocked him out for the second half of last Thursday's win at Washington. It's unclear yet if he's in danger of missing Sunday's game at the Giants, but he's put together a modest 25-211-2 line on 34 targets in seven contests since the Cowboys' Week 10 bye.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: DNP on Wednesday
Ferguson (calf) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Ferguson didn't play after halftime of last Thursday's win at Washington due to a calf injury, ending Week 17 action with one catch (on two targets) for six yards and one touchdown. He was spotted working with Cowboys trainers on the side Wednesday, per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, so his lack of activity to begin Week 18 prep isn't a surprise. Ferguson will have two more sessions this week to put himself in a position to suit up Sunday at the Giants.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Won't return Thursday
Ferguson won't return to Thursday's contest at Washington due to a calf injury, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The Cowboys made the announcement not long after halftime, but prior to that point there was no indication Ferguson was dealing with a health concern. In any case, he'll finish Week 17 with one catch (on two targets) for six yards and one touchdown. Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford will be Dallas' options at tight end for the rest of Thursday's game.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Just three grabs in Sunday's loss
Ferguson caught three of four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Chargers.
For the second straight game and the fourth time in the last eight contests, Ferguson failed to reach 20 receiving yards. After a fantastic start to the season, the fourth-year tight end has faded away, managing a poor 29-155-1 line on 40 targets during that eight-game span. He'll look to find a spark in Week 17 against the Commanders.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Subpar showing in SNF loss
Ferguson recorded two catches on four targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Vikings.
Ferguson was surprisingly uninvolved in the Dallas offense for most of the game, with both of his catches going for short gains in the second quarter. His four targets were his fewest since Week 8, though this was the third time in his last seven games that Ferguson had 16 receiving yards or fewer. Ferguson will draw another tough matchup in Week 16 against the Chargers.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Active Sunday
Ferguson (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Ferguson entered the weekend as questionable following an LP/DNP/LP practice regimen due to a calf injury, but comments from Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones (per Jon Machota of The Athletic) on Friday and a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Saturday evening indicated that the tight end was likely to play Week 15. Indeed, that has been confirmed, and Ferguson will continue to operate as one of QB Dak Prescott's top pass catchers along with WRs CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Still looking good for Sunday
Ferguson (calf), who is officially questionable for Sunday's Week 15 matchup against Minnesota, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Though Ferguson logged an LP/DNP/LP practice progression this week, there hasn't been substantial chatter about him needing to miss Sunday's contest. That remains the case as of Saturday evening, though official confirmation of Ferguson's status may not come until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. Should there be a surprise and Ferguson needs to sit out the matchup, Luke Schoonmaker would likely work as the Cowboys' top tight end.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Officially questionable for SNF
Ferguson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Minnesota after logging a limited practice Friday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Ferguson sandwiched two limited practices around a Thursday absence, with Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones revealing Friday that the team expects its top tight end to be available Sunday night. If not, Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford will be the top TEs for an offense that's consolidated around RB Javonte Williams, WR CeeDee Lamb and WR George Pickens over the past month. Anyone considering Ferguson as a Week 15 lineup option should keep an eye on the situation, as he'd be a high-risk play if there's any hint of real danger for missing SNF.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Expected to play
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said Friday that he expects Ferguson (calf) to play Sunday night against the Vikings, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Ferguson was a limited practice participant Wednesday and then sat out Thursday, but Jones said the tight end looked good during Friday's practice. It still seems more likely than not for Ferguson to enter the game with a 'questionable' designation, which could be tricky for managers ahead of a primetime kickoff (8:20 p.m. ET Sunday).
