Mark Arcobello probably would love nothing more than to spend the rest of the season in one place. After being traded once and waived twice, he is on his fourth NHL team this season. As our own Adam Gretz detailed earlier Friday, Arcobello’s season has been as wacky as any.

Friday night, the former member of the Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators and Pittsburgh Penguins made his debut with the Arizona Coyotes. If he is hoping to stay in the desert the rest of the season, he made a pretty strong first impression with his new club.

On his first shift, just 1:42 into his first game with the Coyotes, Arcobello found some open ice and put a shot through San Jose Sharks goaltender Antti Niemi.

The goal was Arcobello’s ninth of the season. He has now scored a goal with three different teams and has had at least a point with all four this year. According to NHL Communications, Arcobello is in rare company.

As good as this first impression was, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee him anything. After all, he scored a goal in his debut with the Predators as well. They waived him three games later.

For Arcobello’s sake, we hope this is the last stop on his zany NHL adventure this year at least, but maybe he shouldn't sign any leases just to be safe.
