Conference meetings are incredibly important, but the oft-mundane process of evolving the rules and regulations in college sports can be a little dry, particularly when there's less than 100 days until the start of the college football season.

If you want to know what's at stake in the spring meetings this week, Jon Solomon has you covered on the SEC and Dennis Dodd has a preview for the Big 12. If you want to balance those heavy topics with something a little lighter, look no further than our first full batch of win totals for the 2016 season, coming to us via VegasInsider.

These odds and prices are sure to shift over the next three months but it's a great starting point for previewing the season according to one sports book's expectations. The book set the betting line at 76 teams to win at least six games in the 2016 season. However, there are 80 bowl spots needed to fill.

For those uninitiated on "prices," minus-odds of -120 mean you'd have to wager $120 to win $100 and plus-odds (+120) means wagering $100 would win you $120.

SEC

The fact that LSU is entering 2016 with SEC title expectations less than a year after nearly firing Les Miles makes Baton Rouge the site of the most intrigue in the conference heading into the fall. Tennessee's hype train is in "now or never" mode, leading all SEC East teams with a win total of 9.5. The disparity between the two divisions is also on display here with four SEC East teams at the bottom of the list with win totals below six.

Big Ten

Ohio State and Michigan State helped change the Big Ten's national reputation over the last three seasons, and now Michigan might need to lead the charge in what is expected to be a down year (or at least a step back in the win column) for the Buckeyes and Spartans. The Wolverines are expected to be good, but Jim Harbaugh's bunch might also benefit from a season where the Big Ten is expected to have a crowded middle but few title contenders.

ACC

The top of the league is predictable, has two national title contenders (Clemson favored more than Florida State in both win totals and prices) and will dominate the conversation. But behind Louisville and North Carolina there is a huge collection of teams that could each replace each other in the pecking order by the end of the year. With seven teams (half the conference) locked in with a win total between 5.5 and 7 Las Vegas is showing no confidence in the order of the ACC's middle pack.

Big 12

First thing's first: we expect the Baylor total (and prices) to drop given the dismissal of Art Briles and the ongoing fallout in Waco. Still, given the talent in a place and a coaching staff that will now be led by Jim Grobe I don't think we see it fall below 8.5. TCU's number seems low to me but it's not my pick given the price (-125). The Horned Frogs should be considered a likely candidate to move up if Baylor drops, along with Oklahoma State, to contend with the Sooners for the league title.

Pac-12

I'm all on board for the Chris Petersen Power Five arrival season, but it still looks odd to see Washington listed as the team expected to win the most games in the Pac-12 next season. The Huskies (7-6 a year ago) have rising stars in quarterback Jake Browning and running back Myles Gaskin and should be solid on defense. Apparently that's enough in 2016 given the steps back projected for Stanford and Oregon.
