Western Michigan Corey Davis set a new FBS record for career receiving yards on Friday night in the Broncos game against Toledo.

Davis broke the record, previously held by Trevor Insley from Nevada (1996-99) with 5,005 yards, in the second quarter against Toledo when he reached 5,007 yards. Davis came into the game with 75 catches for 1,202 yards and 16 touchdowns -- good enough for seventh in receiving yards and tied for first in receiving touchdowns nationally -- and had four catches for 31 yards in the first half to set the new FBS record.

The senior will be able to extend that record with the MAC Championship Game and Western Michigan's bowl game still to come. With Boise State losing to Air Force on Friday, the odds of that bowl game being a New Year's Six bowl are pretty high.
