Colts' Samson Ebukam: Avoids injury designation
Ebukam (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday.
Ebukam has no injury designation and appears to be ready to play for the first time since Week 7 versus the Chargers. The 30-year-old should be ready to assist starters Laiatu Latu and Kwity Paye to bolster the defensive line. Ebukam has 14 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, on the season.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Limited Wednesday
Ebukam (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Ebukam has missed three consecutive games due to a lingering MCL sprain in his knee, but he appears to have taken a step forward in his recovery following Indianapolis' bye. If he's able to upgrade to full practice reps Thursday and/or Friday, Ebukam could avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's road game against the Chiefs.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Misses another practice
Ebukam (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Ebukam is recovering from an MCL injury that he sustained during the Colts' Week 7 win over the Chargers, which prevented him from playing against the Titans this past Sunday. He is expected to miss multiple weeks while rehabbing from the injury, so he is unlikely to be cleared to return for Week 9 against the Steelers.

Ebukam (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Ebukam suffered a multi-week MCL injury in last Sunday's win over the Chargers, so his absence isn't unexpected. With Ebukam out, Tyquan Lewis (groin) and JT Tuimoloau are expected to see increased reps on defense.

Ebukam has played 208 defensive snaps over the Colts' first seven games this season, recording 24 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks. Ebukam has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Chargers due to a knee injury.

With Ebukam and Tyquan Lewis (groin) both done for the day, the Colts will turn to JT Tuimoloau, Adetomiwa Adebawore and Neville Gallimore to pick up more rotational snaps on the defensive line.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Did not play Saturday
Ebukam (back) did not play in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay.
Ebukam entered training camp fully recovered from a torn Achilles that he suffered in July of 2024, but he's dealing with a back issue that jeopardizes his status for the start of the regular season. Ebukam's absence would open the door for Tyquan Lewis, JT Tuimoloau and Durell Nchami to see more rotational snaps at defensive end behind Laiatu Latu and Kwity Paye (groin).

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Returns in limited capacity
Ebukam (Achilles) was a limited participant in Wednesday's training camp practice, Paul Bretl of USA Today reports.
Ebukam missed the entire 2024 season after tearing his Achilles during training camp. He's progressed enough in his recovery to be back on the practice field, though the Colts will limit his snap count as he eases his way back.
