49ers' Curtis Robinson: Lands on IR

The 49ers placed Robinson (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday.

Robinson suffered a high ankle sprain during the team's preseason finale and will be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season after landing on IR. As a rookie, the second-year linebacker appeared in six games (spilt evenly between Denver and San Francisco) and recorded six tackles.
