Jack Eichel LV C
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Three assists in Game 4 win
14m agoEichel recorded three assists and six shots on goal in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Mammoth in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Eichel has scored just one goal in the series, but he has five assists over the last three games, so he's making an impact in other areas. He came through in the clutch as well, setting up Shea Theodore's overtime game-winner. Eichel has six points, a plus-1 rating, 10 shots, five hits and three blocked shots in his last three appearances, and he should play a key role for the Golden Knights in the reminder of the series.

Jason Zucker BUF LW
Sabres' Jason Zucker: Slated to suit up Tuesday
17m agoZucker (undisclosed) is available for Game 5 at home versus Boston on Tuesday, according to Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald.
Zucker's departure from Sunday's Game 4 in the third period was never expected to be overly serious, as he was deemed probable to play in Game 5 by head coach Lindy Ruff on Monday. Now that it's confirmed he's available for a game that could eliminate the Bruins from the 2026 playoffs, Zucker should fill his usual spots on the second line and No. 1 power-play unit.

Brett Howden LV C
Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Clutch performance in Game 4
19m agoHowden recorded two goals, including one shorthanded, and an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Mammoth in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Howden had gone pointless while posting an even rating in the first three games of the series, but he came out of nowhere to deliver three points while also logging 21:54 TOI -- a playoff-high mark for the 28-year-old. Howden has a bottom-six role in the lineup, so he's not expected to deliver multi-point performances on a regular basis, but he should continue to see scoring opportunities due to his role in the second power-play unit. He had 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) across 58 regular-season appearances this year.
-
Shea Theodore LV D
Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Scores game-winning goal
22m agoTheodore scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Mammoth in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Theodore went pointless and posted a minus-2 rating in his first three playoff appearances, but he came through when the Golden Knights needed him the most in Game 4. He slotted a snap shot past Karel Vejmelka with 52 seconds left in overtime to even the series at 2-2. Theodore has nine shots in his four playoff appearances so far, so it wouldn't be shocking if he continues to crack the scoresheet. The veteran defenseman had 10 goals and 39 points across 79 regular-season appearances this year.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Starting in pivotal home game
22m agoOettinger will be between the home pipes Tuesday against the Wild in Game 5, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.
Oettinger has conceded at least three goals in three of the four games in this series. The 27-year-old netminder has registered a .902 save percentage and a 2.69 GAA so far in the postseason. Oettinger will see a change in front of him Tuesday, as Ilya Lyubushkin will draw into the lineup for Nils Lundkvist (face). Meanwhile, Mats Zuccarello and Yakov Trenin are questionable for the Wild in Game 5 due to upper-body injuries.
-
Tyson Kozak BUF C
Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Available for Game 5
26m agoKozak (undisclosed) is available for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Bruins, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
Kozak left Sunday's Game 4 victory due to an unspecified injury, but he'll officially be able to suit up two days later. Across seven appearances this month, he's recorded three assists, 21 hits and six blocked shots while averaging 10:57 of ice time.

Nick Schmaltz UTA C
Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: Two points in OT loss
31m agoSchmaltz recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 4 of their first-round series.
The Mammoth scored four unanswered goals in this game despite ultimately losing in OT, and Schmaltz scored the first goal of that stretch while assisting on the final one. Schmaltz has struggled to find his footing in the playoffs, racking up just three points in four games after posting 74 points (33 goals, 41 assists) in 82 regular-season contests. Schmaltz will need to produce more consistently if the Mammoth want to advance past the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, but he should continue to have opportunities to do so thanks to his top six-role in the lineup.
-
Sidney Crosby PIT C
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Two-point effort in Game 5 win
3h agoCrosby notched two assists Monday in the Penguins' 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5 of their first-round series.
Both points came in the second period, as Crosby helped set up a tally by Connor Dewar, as well as the very fluky game-winner by Kris Letang that ricocheted home off the end boards. In between, Crosby briefly headed to the locker room to get his knee checked out after getting hit by a shot attempt by Ryan Shea, but he appears to have avoided anything serious. Crosby has gotten onto the scoresheet in three straight games, collecting a goal and five points during that span, and he'll likely need to come up big again in Game 6 on Wednesday if the Penguins are going to stave off elimination once more.
-
Yakov Trenin MIN C
Wild's Yakov Trenin: Status unclear for Game 5
23h agoTrenin (upper body) is questionable for Game 5 versus the Stars on Tuesday, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.
Trenin participated in Monday's practice, but a clearer picture of his availability could materialize after Tuesday's morning skate. He didn't have a point in two postseason outings against Dallas before missing the past two games, but he has registered 16 hits and two blocked shots.

Clayton Keller UTA RW
Mammoth's Clayton Keller: Scores in Game 4 defeat
27m agoKeller scored a goal on seven shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Keller went pointless in the first two games of the series, but he seems to be turning things around of late with three points (one goal, two assists), a plus-3 rating and seven shots on goal in his last two appearances. Keller had 26 goals and 88 points over 82 regular-season contests this year, so he needs to be at his best if Utah is going to advance to the next round of the playoffs. Based on his last two games, he seems to be trending in the right direction after a slow start to the campaign.

Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Unlikely to return in first round
32m agoHead coach Glen Gulutzan said Tuesday that Hintz (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's Game 6 against the Wild, and he's unlikely to play in a potential Game 7, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Hintz had already been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 5 against Minnesota, and it seems unlikely that he'll return at any point during the Stars' first-round series. It's not yet clear whether he'll be in the mix to return at some point during the second round if Dallas advances.
-
Gabriel Landeskog COL LW
Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Contributes pair of helpers
22h agoLandeskog notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Kings in Game 4.
Landeskog has four points over the last three games. He's added eight shots on net, 14 hits, four blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-4 rating over four playoff contests. The 33-year-old winger was officially on the third line Sunday, but he could be shuffled up to the top six if the Avalanche run into any injury troubles or other adversity in the later rounds of the postseason.
-
Jared Wright LA RW
Kings' Jared Wright: Sent back to minors
22h agoWright was returned to AHL Ontario on Monday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.
Wright failed to score a goal in 27 regular-season and postseason contests, chipping in just four assists, 37 shots and 34 hits. With the Reign, the 23-year-old forward was significantly more impressive, generating 17 goals and 13 assists in 54 regular-season outings. If he can't find a way to bring that scoring touch to the NHL, Wright may have to spend the bulk of the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.
-
Mats Zuccarello MIN RW
Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Practices, questionable for Game 5
23h agoZuccarello (upper body) is questionable for Game 5 against Dallas on Tuesday, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Zuccarello worked on the top power-play unit during Monday's practice, which is an encouraging sign for a potential return. However, it remains unclear if he will be back in the lineup after missing the last three games. Zuccarello contributed three assists, including two on the power play, in Minnesota's 6-1 win over Dallas in Game 1 on April 18.

Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Scores game-winning goal
22m agoTheodore scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Mammoth in Game 4 of their first-round series.

Rasmus Ristolainen PHI D
Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Two helpers in Monday's loss
3h agoRistolainen picked up two assists Monday during the Flyers' 3-2 loss to the Penguins in Game 5 of their first-round series.
Both helpers came in the second period as Philly rallied from an early 2-0 deficit, with Ristolainen having a hand in tallies by Alex Bump and Travis Sanheim. Ristolainen has had a productive series, delivering a goal and five points in five games heading into Game 6 on Wednesday as the Flyers try again to punch their tickets to the second round.
-
Emil Andrae PHI D
Flyers' Emil Andrae: Set to play Monday
17h agoAndrae (upper body) is good to play in Game 5 against Pittsburgh on Monday, per Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Andrae missed Philadelphia's past three games due to the injury. He had two goals and 13 points in 61 regular-season appearances. Noah Juulsen is set to be a healthy scratch Monday to accommodate Andrae's return.
-
Charles-Alexis Legault CAR D
Hurricanes' Charles-Alexis Legault: Recalled by Carolina
19h agoLegault was recalled from AHL Chicago on Monday.
Legault was sent to the minors in mid-April, but he'll join the Hurricanes ahead of their second-round series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll remain with the Hurricanes once they resume play.
-
Devon Toews COL D
Avalanche's Devon Toews: Adds insurance tally
22h agoToews scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Kings in Game 4.
Toews has a three-game point streak going (one goal, two assists) after being held off the scoresheet in the playoff opener. He's added five blocked shots, two hits, four shots on net and a plus-3 rating. Toews is coming off his worst regular season since his rookie year -- he was limited to 24 points in 68 outings. The veteran blueliner is in the postseason for the eighth year in a row, and over the previous seven playoff runs, he accumulated 12 goals and 43 assists over 84 contests, production in line with his peak abilities during regular-season play.
-
Nils Lundkvist DAL D
Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Ruled out for Game 5
22h agoLundkvist (face) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Wild, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Lundkvist exited Saturday's Game 4 against Minnesota after suffering a deep facial laceration, and he'll be forced to miss at least one additional matchup. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Thursday's Game 6, but the Stars are hopeful that Lundkvist will be able to return before the end of the first-round series. The Stars haven't yet announced Lundkvist's replacement for Tuesday's game, but Ilya Lyubushkin is a candidate to enter the lineup.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G

Carter Hart LV G
Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Earns OT win in Game 4
43m agoHart stopped 27 of 31 shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Mammoth in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Hart bounced back after back-to-back losses in Games 2 and 3 of the series, including a Game 3 defeat that saw him allow four goals on 12 shots faced. Even though Hart earned the win, the Golden Knights had to erase a third-period deficit before closing things out in overtime, so this was far from a dominant performance from Vegas. Plus, this was Hart's third straight game with a save percentage below the .900 mark. He'll look to earn consecutive wins for the first time in the current playoff run in Game 5 at home Wednesday.
-
Karel Vejmelka UTA G
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Beaten five times Monday
1h agoVejmelka stopped 31 of 36 shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Vejmelka was coming off back-to-back wins in which he had given up exactly two goals each time, but he wasn't able to do so again here. It was an unfortunate game for Vejmelka, as the Mammoth had a 4-3 lead in the third period, but he couldn't hold on and allowed two unanswered goals -- including the decisive one with less than one minute to go in overtime. Through four playoff starts, Vejmelka has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and an .899 save percentage. The 29-year-old should remain the starter for Game 5 on the road Wednesday.
-
Arturs Silovs PIT G
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Keeps Pens alive with Game 5 win
3h agoSilovs stopped 18 shots Monday in the Penguins' 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5 of their first-round series.
The 25-year-old netminder did squander an early 2-0 lead, but once Kris Letang put Pittsburgh back in front with a fluky tally late in the second period, Silovs shut the door. He's won two straight starts since replacing Stuart Skinner in the crease, allowing four goals on 50 shots (.920 save percentage), and he'll look to keep rolling in Game 5 on Wednesday back in Philadelphia as the Pens try to stave off elimination once again.
-
Dan Vladar PHI G
Flyers' Dan Vladar: Bad bounce leads to Game 5 loss
3h agoVladar made 18 saves Monday in the Flyers' 3-2 loss to the Penguins in Game 5 of their first-round series.
After falling into a 2-0 hole, Philly rallied for two goals in the second period to tie it up, but the momentum was short-lived. Late in the second frame, Kris Letang flipped a shot from the point that went wide of the net but then kicked off the boards, pinballed off Vladar's pads and trickled across the goal line for the game-winner. The 28-year-old netminder has yet to allow more than three goals in any game in the series, and he'll take a 2.03 GAA and .913 save percentage into Game 6 on Wednesday as the Flyers try again to advance to the second round.
-
Karel Vejmelka UTA G
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Tending twine in Game 4
15h agoVejmelka will patrol the home crease in Monday's Game 4 versus the Golden Knights, per Steve Carp of The Sporting Tribune.
Vejmelka will look to stay hot Monday after recording back-to-back wins in Game 2 and Game 3, respectively. He has now been called upon to start in all four games of Utah's first-round matchup. Vejmelka has fared well in the series with a 2-1-0 record, a 2.36 GAA and a .916 save percentage. With his 40th win between the regular season and playoffs behind him, the 29-year-old netminder will aim to win his ninth game over his last 12 outings dating back to March 28.
