Rougned Odor won the battle back in May, but the Rangers lost the war in October.

The Blue Jays advanced to the ALCS on Sunday night thanks to a walk-off error by Odor in the 10th inning of Game 3 of the ALDS (TOR 7, TEX 6). Here's the play:

Odor, as you know, was involved in a nasty brawl with the Blue Jays earlier this year. The Rangers hit Jose Bautista with a pitch in response to last year's ALDS bat flip, then after Bautista slid in hard at second base to break up a double play, Odor punched him right in the jaw.

The ALDS triumph on Odor's error was no doubt very gratifying for Bautista and the Blue Jays. Did the Blue Jays and their fans enjoy Odor making the series winning error? Yes. Yes, they sure did ...

Well, you can't say Odor didn't have it coming. He made himself an easy target.

The Blue Jays are now in the ALCS for the second successive year after going two decades without postseason baseball. Toronto will face either the Red Sox or Indians. Cleveland leads that best-of-5 series 2-0.
