Texans' Devin Singletary: Efficient on 11 touches in win
Singletary rushed nine times for 41 yards and brought in both targets for four yards in the Texans' 37-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Singletary finished as the Texans' rushing leader on the afternoon while posting his best rushing yardage total over the first three games. The veteran back could potentially begin to encroach on Dameon Pierce's workload if the latter's efficiency doesn't improve, although in fairness, Sunday was the first time over the season's first three games that Singletary averaged over 4.0 yards per carry in his own right. The workload distribution between the two will be one to monitor as Houston welcomes the Steelers in Week 4.

Texans' Devin Singletary: Quiet in loss
Singletary carried four times for 14 yards and caught his lone target for 10 yards in Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Colts in Week 2.
Singletary's 24 combined yards was an improvement over Week 1 (15 yards), and the target was his first of the season. The Texans ground game felt the negative impact of injuries across the offensive line. For a second straight week, the rushing attack was bottled up, and Houston's offense threw nearly twice as much as it ran. Unfortunately for the backs, all that passing hasn't resulted in many targets. Of 91 pass attempts through the first two games, the position group accounts for 11 targets. Early on, quarterback C.J. Stroud has heavily favored wideouts, which account for 60 targets.

Texans' Devin Singletary: Stymied on ground in loss
Singletary rushed seven times for 15 yards and wasn't targeted in the Texans' 25-9 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
Singletary played a clear complementary role behind lead back Dameon Pierce, as expected. He was also less efficient than his backfield mate, with Pierce gaining 38 yards on his 11 carries. Singletary surprisingly wasn't utilized in the passing game whatsoever, but after recording 145 receptions over his first four seasons in Buffalo, that isn't likely to be the case most weeks in his new digs. Singeltary's first chance to atone for a forgettable Texans debut comes in a Week 2 home matchup against the Colts.
