Player Outlook
Billed as a toolsy prospect, Levis failed to show almost any rushing or big passing play upside during his final season at Kentucky in 2022. Some of that has been attributed to a lack of talent around him and a coaching change, but make no mistake - Levis is a developmental prospect. Unless Ryan Tannehill gets injured again or the Titans fall out of contention (something that hasn't happened in the Mike Vrabel era), Levis is unlikely to make a Fantasy impact in 2023. In one-QB rookie-only drafts, he's worth considering in Round 3, while two-QB formats could take him in Round 2.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Struggles continue in loss

Levis completed 16 of 33 passes for 224 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Colts. He added two rushes for five yards. Levis had one of his better performances from a statistical perspective, topping 200 yards for the first time in his last three starts. However, that didn't come without struggles as he completed less than 50 percent of his pass attempts and was also sacked six times, which led to three fumbles. Overall, Levis has now failed to record multiple touchdowns in four of his six starts and has reached 200 yards on only three occasions.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Returns to full practice

Levis (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. The ankle injury resulted in Levis' practice reps being capped Wednesday, but his return to full practice participation clears the way for him to make his sixth start of the season Sunday versus the Colts. Through his first five NFL appearances, Levis has completed 91 of 152 pass attempts (59.9 percent) for 1,042 yards (6.9 YPA) and a 6:2 TD:INT.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Limited by ankle issue

Levis was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Per John Glennon of NashvillePost.com, Levis appeared to be hampered to some degree by his ankle during Wednesday's session, but given that the quarterback was able to work through the issue -- albeit in a limited fashion -- he'll most likely be available Sunday against the Colts. That said, Levis will need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Not asked to do much in victory

Levis completed 18 of 28 passes for 185 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Panthers. Levis did the majority of his work in the first half, as he attempted only 10 passes across the final two quarters while the Titans attempted to preserve a victory. As a result, he was held under 200 passing yards for the third consecutive game, and he's now failed to throw for a touchdown in three of his starts. Positively, Levis was willing to push the ball down the field, with one-third of his completions going for more than 15 yards. Tennessee has been willing to rely on its defense and ground attack to win games this season, and that's unlikely to change down the stretch, thus limiting Levis' upside.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

Levis had his second multiple-touchdown game of the season in his fourth career start at Jacksonville in Week 11, and he was 13-of-17 passing for 158 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-14 loss. The Titans barely had the ball against the Jaguars, and Levis wasn't great, so he was lucky to score 16.5 Fantasy points. He doesn't have an easy matchup against Carolina in Week 12, but the Titans have been on the road for three games in a row, which is tough for a rookie quarterback. And remember his lone home game this season was Week 8 against Atlanta when he scored 34.6 Fantasy points. It wouldn't shock me if Levis had a sneaky stat line this week against the Panthers, and he's worth a look in deep one-quarterback leagues for 1 percent of your FAB.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Struggles with efficiency in loss

Levis completed 19 of 39 passes for 199 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Titans' 20-6 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. Levis struggled with his accuracy and averaged a modest 5.1 yards per attempt while also taking four sacks. The rookie did impressively connect with eight different targets, but after a four-touchdown breakout against the Falcons in Week 8, Levis has now gone without a scoring toss in back-to-back weeks. He's also completed only 52.6 percent of his passes in that span heading into a Week 11 road matchup against the Jaguars that could yield more success given Jacksonville's ongoing struggles against the pass.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Sit Him (Lineup Decisions)

I think it will be harder for Levis to overcome the Bucs pass rush like Stroud did last week. Not only is his O-line worse than the Texans, but he doesn't have the same kind of receiving corps that the Texans have, plus the Titans will cling to their run game a lot longer than the Texans did last week. Levis remains roster-worthy because he has some potentially favorable matchups on the horizon, but he'll need to show us something first. I'd rather start Josh Dobbs, Geno Smith and Trevor Lawrence.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Sleeper QBs

We saw what might be the best of Levis in Week 8 against Atlanta in his NFL debut with 34.6 Fantasy points and what could be the worst in his first road start at Pittsburgh in Week 9 with 8.7 Fantasy points. This is a great rebound spot for him at Tampa Bay since the Buccaneers have been a mess against opposing quarterbacks over the past two games against Josh Allen and C.J. Stroud. That duo combined for 84.9 Fantasy points, and five quarterbacks on the season have scored at least 20.5 Fantasy points against Tampa Bay this year. I'm excited to see what Levis can do against this defense.

  • Titans' Will Levis: One To Stash (QB Preview)

Levis has been named the starter moving forward by Head Coach Mike Vrabel so he should be rostered in the majority of leagues as we wait to see whether his Week 8 or Week 9 performance was more indicative of what is to come.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Sneaky Sleeper (Lineup Decisions)

It's tough to trust Levis in his second NFL start knowing the Steelers will try to pressure him relentlessly. Being on the road on a short week hurts too, but to me the larger factor is his pass volume -- how much will he have to throw in what might amount to a low-scoring slugfest against the Steelers and their suspect offense? Some quarterbacks I feel better about starting include Sam Howell and Derek Carr, but line Levis up against any other risky QB, from Geno Smith to Daniel Jones to Jordan Love, and his upside is ahead of theirs.

  • Titans' Will Levis: One To Stash (QB Preview)

Will Levis' debut was spectacular, but I'm not quite ready to start him on a short week against the Steelers. That being said, unless I have a top six QB on my roster, I would like to have Levis as my QB2. If that upside validates, he could be a borderline starter rest of season.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Expected to start Thursday

Levis is expected to start Thursday's game against the Steelers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Levis is coming off a four-touchdown NFL debut in which he led the Titans to a 28-23 win over the Falcons, so he's certainly made a case to keep the No. 1 QB gig. It's also possible that Ryan Tannehill (ankle) simply isn't trending in the right direction to be ready for Thursday night's contest, but if Levis can log another impressive performance in prime time, it could be hard for Tennessee's coaching staff to justify going back to the struggling veteran. Levis connected with DeAndre Hopkins for three scores Week 8 before capping his day with a 33-yard TD to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Week 9 Early Waiver Targets (Add/Drop)

You've gotta give Levis credit: He definitely didn't play scared in his first NFL start, and the Titans didn't act like they didn't trust him. That might sound like a low bar to clear, but it's absolutely not true of how they treated Malik Willis when Ryan Tannehill's injuries forced him into starting action as a rookie a year ago. And I'm not just damning with faint praise here: Levis looked legitimately good, aggressively pushing the ball down the field consistently and hitting on multiple big plays while leaning on veteran DeAndre Hopkins. Levis didn't show much as a runner, and this offense still figures to lean more run-heavy, so it's probably not a Fantasy QB1 profile unless Levis is just a star right away. But if you play in 2QB leagues or need some depth behind a shaky starter, Levis showed a lot of upside in Week 8.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Expected to be Week 8 starter

Levis is expected to be the Titans' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Falcons and take most of the snaps behind center, despite head coach Mike Vrabel having not named a Week 8 starter while noting that both Levis and Malik Willis will play in the absence of Ryan Tannehill (ankle), Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. After suffering a right high-ankle sprain in the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Ravens, Tannehill didn't practice in any fashion coming out of the team's Week 7 bye and could be in danger of missing two straight games, given that the Titans are set to travel to Pittsburgh for a Thursday night game Week 9. Rapoport initially reported Wednesday that the Titans had been preparing for Levis to start Week 8 in anticipation of Tannehill not being available, and it appears little has changed on that front during the team's week of practice, even though Vrabel hasn't confirmed Tennessee's plans at quarterback. While Willis' superior rushing ability could prompt the Titans to hand him a few packages or even have him lead the offense for multiple drives, Levis looks like he'll get the bulk of the snaps Sunday in what will be his NFL debut. The rookie second-round pick out of Kentucky doesn't make for an inspiring fantasy option this week, given the prospect of him losing snaps to Willis along with the run-heavy tendencies of the Tennessee offense.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Could share snaps if Tannehill sits

Head coach Mike Vrabel acknowledged Wednesday that both Levis and Malik Willis would play Sunday against the Falcons if Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is unavailable, but Vrabel noted that Levis hasn't yet been confirmed as the team's starting quarterback in such a scenario, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Per Wyatt, Vrabel suggested that if Tannehill doesn't play this weekend, the Titans may opt to alternate series between Levis and Willis. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network previously reported that Tennessee was prepping Levis to be the team's Week 8 starter, but for now the situation still looks to be fluid. Tannehill isn't set to practice Wednesday and appears to be trending toward missing at least one game.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Preparing for start vs. Falcons

The Titans are expected to start Levis over Malik Willis during Sunday's game against the Falcons with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) not expected to be available, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Head coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that both Levis and Willis would be expected to see the field if Tannehill's high-ankle sprain keeps him sidelined Week 8. Though he's been the Titans' No. 3 quarterback all season, Levis looks primed to draw the start and see the bulk of the playing time behind center over Willis, who has appeared in relief of Tannehill in Weeks 3 and 6. The Titans' Week 7 bye likely gave Levis some more time to prepare for assignment, and with Willis having struggled to impress in his limited NFL action through his first two seasons in the league, it makes sense for the Tennessee to take a look at the rookie second-round pick as early as possible and see what he offers.

  • Titans' Will Levis: NFL debut could come Week 8

Coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday he would expect both Levis and Malik Willis to see the field Sunday versus Atlanta if Ryan Tannehill (ankle) isn't able to play, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Levis has been a healthy scratch all season, serving as the Titans' third quarterback with Malik Willis having been the No. 2 option. If Tannehill's right high-ankle sprain requires another week of recovery, however, it sounds like Tennessee will take advantage of the opportunity to take a look at Levis under center. The rookie second-round pick missed two of Tennessee's three preseason games due to a thigh injury, so the team hasn't had many chances to evaluate him in game action yet.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is unlikely to play in Week 8 against Atlanta, and we'll see if the Titans turn to Malik Willis or Levis. I hope it's Levis because I want to see what the rookie can offer, and he might end up stealing the job from Tannehill if he plays well. Willis stepped in for Tannehill in Week 6 against the Ravens in London, and he hasn't been impressive any time he's got an extended look. Levis might struggle as well, but there's more upside for him in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues based on his potential. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your FAB in those formats.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Third quarterback to begin career

Levis (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints. Levis will serve as the Titans' third quarterback, with Malik Willis instead serving as Ryan Tannehill's backup. Levis missed two of the team's three preseason games with a thigh injury, so this decision doesn't come as a significant surprise.

  • Titans' Will Levis: Not expected to play Friday

Levis (thigh) isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against New England, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Levis returned to practice Wednesday and told reporters he expected to play Friday, but the Titans apparently will hold him out. Ryan Tannehill likely will start and play a bit before handing things over to Malik Willis for the rest of the night. Willis and Levis have been competing for the No. 2 QB job all summer.
