  • Titans' Cam Ward: Will avoid surgery on shoulder

Ward was diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder after undergoing testing Monday and isn't expected to require offseason surgery, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Ward ended up starting all 17 games during his rookie season for the Titans, but after taking every snap through the first 16 contests, an injury to his throwing shoulder forced him out of Sunday's 41-7 loss to the Jaguars following Tennessee's opening drive. The Titans were initially fearful that Ward had suffered a significant injury that might need surgery, but the young signal-caller appears to have received a more favorable prognosis than expected after being sent in for tests. The Titans haven't offered a timeline for when Ward will be fully recovered from the shoulder injury, however, so his availability for the start of the team's offseason program could be affected. Ward wrapped up his 2025 campaign with 323 completions on 540 attempts (59.8 percent) for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 159 yards and two scores on 39 carries. He was particularly effective following the Titans' Week 10 bye, raising his completion rate to 62.4 percent while accounting for 12 touchdowns (10 passing, two rushing) and committing just three turnovers (one interception, two lost fumbles) over the final eight games.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Sling on right shoulder

Ward was spotted with a sling for his right shoulder during the Titans' 41-7 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Ward injured his right shoulder in the first quarter after diving into the end zone for a seven-yard rushing touchdown. After being ruled out for the rest of the game by medical staff, Ward returned to the sidelines without his pads , and a sling on his right shoulder. The No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury, but he will have plenty of time to recover before the start of the 2026 campaign. Ward will end his rookie season having completed 59.8 percent of his passes for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 39 carries for 159 yards and two scores across 17 games.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Won't return Sunday

Ward won't return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars after sustaining a right shoulder injury. Prior to his exit from the contest, Ward completed all three of his pass attempts for 52 yards and carried twice for 11 yards and a TD. In his absence, Brandon Allen has taken over the Titans' Week 18 QB duties.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Week 18 Waiver Priority List

Ward only scored 6.3 Fantasy points against Jacksonville in Week 13, but he's played much better since then. Ward has two touchdown passes in each of his past four games, and he has scored at least 19 Fantasy points in three outings in a row against San Francisco, Kansas City and New Orleans. The Jaguars aren't an easy matchup, but Ward is worth a look if you need a starter in deeper leagues in Week 18.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Week 17 Waiver Priority List

Ward has scored at least 19 Fantasy points in each of his past two games against San Francisco and Kansas City, and he actually has six passing touchdowns and just one interception in his past three outings when you include Week 14 at Cleveland. Hopefully, Ward can close the season on a high note, and he's worth using as a low-end starter in deeper leagues in Week 18 against the Saints.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Tosses two TDs in rare home win

Ward completed 21 of 28 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 26-9 win over Kansas City. he added nine rushing yards on four carries. The rookie QB tossed multiple scores for the third straight game, finding Chig Okonkwo for a seven-yard TD in the second quarter and Chimere Dike for a one-yard touchdown in the third. More importantly, Ward led the Titans to their first win at home since Week 9 of last season. With a 6:1 TD:INT over the last three games -- equaling his touchdown total from the prior 10 games combined -- Ward appears to be taking a big step forward in his development heading into a Week 17 clash with the Saints.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Limits mistakes in loss

Ward completed 18 of 29 passes for 170 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 37-24 loss to the 49ers. He added one rush for two yards. Ward was able to move the Titans' offense for much of the game, as he led two scoring drives in the first half and got the team into field-goal range on a third possession. He was helped by a relatively effective run game, though Ward also completed four passes of at least 15 yards in the first two quarters -- including a 34-yard touchdown strike to Gunnar Helm. Most importantly, Ward did not take a sack and also did not turn the ball over, keeping the unit on schedule. It still wasn't an overly impressive stat line, but Ward now has multiple touchdowns in consecutive games after failing to achieve that in his first 12 games as a pro.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Decent showing against Seattle

Ward completed 28 of 42 passes for 256 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Seahawks. He rushed the ball six times for 37 yards and a touchdown. Ward turned in one of his more complete performances as a rookie, showcasing some playmaking ability while also limiting mistakes. He completed three passes of at least 20 yards -- all to different receivers -- and also threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Chimere Dike on Tennessee's final possession. Ward supplemented that with the first rushing score of his career, and he's now topped 30 rushing yards in consecutive games after failing to do so in his first nine contests. Finally, he avoided negative plays, as this marked his first game without a fumble or interception.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Mixed bag in Week 11 loss

Ward completed 24 of 37 passes for 194 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions while rushing three times for 33 yards in the Titans' 16-13 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. Ward was serviceable coming out of his first NFL bye week, and the fact he lost Calvin Ridley to a season-ending fibula injury and Chimere Dike to a chest contusion within Sunday's game certainly didn't help his cause. Additionally, Ward was navigating a talented and aggressive Texans defense that sacked him three times and consistently pressured him. The rookie first overall pick did connect with Van Jefferson for a four-yard game-tying touchdown at the 1:35 mark of the fourth quarter, but that play was preceded by Ward's fumble early in the period that led to a Texans field goal. Ward will head into another unenviable home matchup against the Seahawks in Week 12 working with a short-handed pass-catching corps yet again.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: No turnovers in loss

Ward completed 12 of 21 passes for 145 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chargers. He added two rushes for six yards. Ward continues to turn in mixed performances, and there were some positive takeaways in Sunday's loss despite his modest stat line. He completed three passes of at least 20 yards and also didn't turn the ball over for the first time this season. Despite those steps forward, Ward still isn't a strong fantasy option, as he has yet to tally multiple touchdowns in a game this season.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Upgrades to full practice

Ward (ankle/calf) upgraded to a full practice Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Ward was limited in Wednesday's session, but it appears as if it was more precautionary than anything else, and the rookie No. 1 overall pick is poised to be under center Sunday against the Texans. Ward will have a new play-caller in his ear after coach Brian Callahan gave up play-calling duties to QBs coach Bo Hardegree earlier this week.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Limited at practice Wednesday

Ward (ankle/calf) was limited at practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Ward was on the field for all 70 of the Titans' snaps on offense in the team's 41-20 loss to Colts in Week 3, so it's unclear if the QB came out of that contest banged-up or if his listed ankle/calf issues are a result of Wednesday's practice. In any case, the status of Ward -- whose backup is Brandon Allen -- is now worth tracking as Sunday's game against the Texans approaches.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Throws first TD

Ward completed 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 33-19 loss to the Rams. He added four rushes for eight yards. Ward struggled with efficiency for the second consecutive week, averaging only 5.3 yards per attempt. However, he showed off his playmaking ability while connecting with Elic Ayomanor for his first pro touchdown after scrambling for several seconds before throwing across his body for a nine-yard score. Ward also completed three passes of more than 20 yards, two of which went to Calvin Ridley, which was also an improvement over Week 1. Ward isn't trustworthy for standard fantasy formats yet, but he did seem to take a step forward in his second pro start.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Tough pro debut

Ward completed 12 of 28 passes for 112 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Broncos. Ward drew a tough assignment in his pro debut in a difficult road environment against a defense that is projected to be one of the best in the league. His stat line reflects that, as he managed only 4.0 yards per attempt while also taking six sacks. Ward was slightly off target on a few passes to Calvin Ridley that could have changed the trajectory of his performance, but the duo should gain increased chemistry as the season progresses.

  • Titans' Cameron Ward: Leads two possessions

Ward completed five of eight passes for 67 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's 29-7 preseason loss to the Buccaneers. Ward got his first experience as a starter in the NFL and led two drives. The Titans went three-and-out on the first possession, but he then led an 11-play, 65-yard touchdown drive, during which he showed strong rapport with Calvin Ridley -- the duo connected for gains of 27, 10 and 13 yards. It was a limited sample for Ward, but it was an encouraging debut as he prepares to start from Day 1 of the regular season.

  • Titans' Cameron Ward: Set to play Saturday

Titans coach Brian Callahan said Wednesday that Ward and other starters will play in every preseason game, including a series or two this Saturday against Tampa Bay, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Callahan also said Ward has shown growth throughout training camp, adding that he feels good about the offense's trajectory. The No. 1 overall pick has long been locked in as a Week 1 starter, with not much competition behind him ever since Will Levis underwent season-ending surgery in July.

  • Titans' Cameron Ward: Takes first-team reps, as expected

Ward took all of the first-team QB reps during Wednesday's opening training camp practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports. While the Titans haven't officially declared Ward the starter, Davenport indicates that the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is firmly in line to claim the job after the team announced Monday that Will Levis, who is now on IR, will have season-ending surgery on his right shoulder next week. Currently in the mix to back up Ward this coming season are free-agent acquisitions Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle.

  • Titans' Cameron Ward: Set to take first-team reps

Ward's teammate, Will Levis, will undergo surgery on his right throwing shoulder next Tuesday and will miss the entire 2025 season, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. With Levis -- who logged 21 starts for the Titans over the last two regular seasons -- no longer in the mix to compete with Ward, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com notes that the No. 1 overall choice in the 2025 NFL Draft is slated to take the team's first-team QB reps in training camp and likely will be backed up by Brandon Allen, with Tim Boyle also on hand. Ward thus appears destined to draw the Week 1 start for Tennessee while helming a passing attack that's headlined by top WR Calvin Ridley and top TE Chig Okonkwo but otherwise is a work in progress, with slotting behind the duo at their respective positions to be determined as the summer progresses.

  • Titans' Cam Ward: Splitting reps evenly with Levis

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Tuesday that Ward and Will Levis have split practice reps evenly throughout Phase 2 of the team's offseason activities, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports. Callahan said Tennessee's quarterback reps "will probably change a little when when we get to the next phase of OTAs and there's some 7-on-7 [drills]," while also noting that Ward's selection at No. 1 overall and Levis' status as an incumbent starter haven't been the cause of any conflict at practice. Some amount of competition with Levis figures to be beneficial for Ward, who is still in the early stages of acclimating to a new offense and building chemistry with Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett, Treylon Burks (ACL) and Van Jefferson. Callahan said it would be premature to name a starter at this stage of the offseason, but it would nonetheless be surprising if it takes Ward long to earn a dominant share of first-team reps. The Titans are slated to conduct six OTAs between May 27 and June 5 before kicking off a three-day mandatory minicamp June 12. Ward may be able to push for increased reps during those dates, but the most pivotal period of his rookie development will occur during training camp and the preseason. Regardless of whether Levis remains on Tennessee's roster or draws trade interest, it seems like a sure thing that Ward will start the Titans' regular-season opener against Tampa Bay.
