Top Bears News

  • Bears' Jonah Jackson: Set for Thursday night

Jackson (hip/quadricep) does not have any injury designation ahead of Thursday night's game against the Patriots.

Jackson picked up multiple injuries in the Bears' Week 6 win over the Falcons. The offensive guard was able to upgrade his practice participation in every session during the team's short turnaround ahead of Thursday Night Football and is all set to suit up for the contest against the Patriots.

  • Bears' Jack Sanborn: Won't play Thursday

Sanborn (concussion) is officially listed as out for Thursday's game versus the Patriots.

The Bears held only walk-through practices ahead of Thursday's contest, but Sanborn was estimated as a nonparticipant Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and he'll now miss his first game of the season in Week 7. Most of his snaps so far in 2026 have come on special teams, so Chicago will have to find a way to try to replace his production in that phase.

  • Bears' Tyrique Stevenson: Questionable to play Thursday

Stevenson (hip) is questionable to play Thursday night versus the Patriots.

Stevenson was considered to be a full participant at all three of Chicago's walkthrough practices this week as he continues to work his way back from a hip injury that he suffered in Week 5 versus Green Bay. The cornerback appears to be trending toward a return to action in Week 7, but he will carry a questionable designation into the team's matchup with New England on Thursday Night Football.

  • Bears' T.J. Edwards: Unlikely to play in Week 7

Edwards (hamstring) is doubtful to play Thursday night versus the Patriots.

Edwards was considered to be a limited participant at the team's walkthrough Wednesday, but he was given a doubtful designation ahead of Thursday Night Football. The linebacker has been dealing with a hamstring injury since Week 5, and he appears likely to miss a second game in a row with the injury. If Edwards is unavailable against New England, Noah Sewell would stand to operate in a more significant role on Chicago's defense again in Week 7.

  • Bears' Kyle Monangai: Won't play in Week 7

Monangai (thumb/toe) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Patriots.

Monangai thus will miss a third game in a row as he tends to a turf toe injury. Last Friday, head coach Ben Johnson relayed to Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com that the Bears are expecting to place Monangai on injured reserve, so he appears to have a chance to return in Week 8 at Seattle on Monday Night Football, assuming he's able to get back on the practice field next week. In the meantime, though, D'Andre Swift will continue to lead Chicago's backfield, with Roschon Johnson on hand for RB reps that linger.

  • Bears' Kalif Raymond: Catches both targets in win

Raymond caught both of his targets for 18 yards and returned three punts for 54 yards during Chicago's win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Raymond has continued to see limited action offensively since hauling in six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown during the Week 3 win over the Eagles. The 32-year-old has caught 26 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown across six games this season while serving as the team's third-string receiver behind Rome Odunze and Luther Burden.

  • Bears' Jack Sanborn: Dealing with concussion

Sanborn (concussion) was estimated as a non-participant on the Bears' official injury report Tuesday.

Sanborn has now been estimated as a non-participant both of the last two days after Chicago held walk-through practices Monday and Tuesday. Unless he's able to practice in some capacity Wednesday, his odds of suiting up Thursday versus the Patriots don't look great.

  • Bears' Kyle Monangai: Sits out Tuesday's walk-through

    Monangai (thumb/toe) was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through.

Monangai also logged a DNP on Monday's estimated practice report. If Monangai remains sidelined Thursday versus New England, Roschon Johnson would be in line to see added backfield work once again behind D'Andre Swift.
