  • Blues' Ryan O'Reilly: Still on crutches

O'Reilly (broken foot) is still using crutches, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. O'Reilly suffered the injury Dec. 31 when he blocked a Calen Addison shot. He still has another four weeks before he will be re-evaluated. O'Reilly has only 10 goals and 16 points with a horrid minus-28 rating in 37 games this season. If the Blues fall out of the playoff picture by the time O'Reilly regains health, they could look to trade the veteran center, who's in the final season of a seven-year contract.

  • Blues' Ryan O'Reilly: Out for at least six weeks

O'Reilly will be re-evaluated in six weeks after suffering a broken foot Saturday against Minnesota. He was placed on injured reserve Monday. O'Reilly managed to finish Saturday's game after blocking a shot from Wild defender Calen Addison. Unfortunately, he will be sidelined for multiple weeks now. O'Reilly has struggled offensively this year with 10 goals and 16 points through 37 games. He has been the subject of trade rumors. His absence may shift Brayden Schenn to center. It could also open a spot for Ivan Barbashev or recent call-up Jake Neighbours to play in the top-six forward group.

O'Reilly scored a goal on five shots in the Blues' 5-4 loss in overtime to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The Blues' captain has struggled all season, posting a minus-26 rating along with 10 goals and 16 points in 35 games. An unrestricted free agent after this season, O'Reilly may be a candidate to be moved if the Blues fall out of the playoff race.

O'Reilly produced an assist, four shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Jets. O'Reilly set up a Josh Leivo goal in the third period. With four goals and two helpers in his seven contests, O'Reilly is finally starting to find his way on offense. The center's season numbers still look rather lackluster -- he's at 14 points, 58 shots and a minus-19 rating in 27 appearances -- that's barely a 40-point pace for a player who hasn't had less than 54 points in any season since 2012-13.

O'Reilly found the back of the net in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win against Washington. O'Reilly extended his point streak to four games. He's up to five goals and eight points in 16 contests this season. His 2022-23 scoring pace is still well below what it's been in recent years. However, the worst might be behind him after he was held to one goal and no assists in his first 10 games of the campaign.

O'Reilly scored a short-handed goal and was credited with an assist during Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the host Blackhawks. O'Reilly's second-period, power-play goal with 4.4 seconds remaining in the middle frame Wednesday snapped goalie Stuart Skinner's shutout bid. Fighting for a rebound chance off Justin Faulk's deflected shot attempt, O'Reilly batted the puck out of midair to connect on his first goal this season. • Blues' Ryan O'Reilly: Registers five shots

O'Reilly recorded five shots in Monday's 4-0 defeat to Winnipeg. O'Reilly has yet to register a point this season but started showing some signs of finding his stride with Monday's performance. If the 31-year-old center can continue to put pucks on net, he should eventually bend the twine. Despite the slow start, O'Reilly should still be capable of reaching the 50-point threshold for the 10th straight year.

  • Blues' Ryan O'Reilly: Capitalizes on turnover

O'Reilly scored a goal on five shots, logged three hits and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche in Game 1. A poor clearance from Cale Makar ended up on Brayden Schenn's stick, and he set up O'Reilly for the opening goal 6:25 into the game. A pedestrian regular season is in the rear-view mirror for O'Reilly -- he's up to six goals and three assists in seven playoff outings, including tallies in five straight games. The center will likely see a lot of defensive assignments against the Nathan MacKinnon line in this second-round series, so O'Reilly should have his hands full.

O'Reilly scored a power-play goal and dished out two assists in Sunday's 5-2 Game 4 win over the Wild. O'Reilly provided an insurance marker to cap the scoring with exactly one minute left in the third period. Prior to that, he helped set up goals by David Perron and Jordan Kyrou, each of whom also scored another without O'Reilly's assistance. The Blues' battle-tested captain has unsurprisingly picked up his production in the playoffs, as O'Reilly has three goals and three assists through four games.

O'Reilly scored a power-play goal on four shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Wild in Game 3. O'Reilly spoiled Marc-Andre Fleury's shutout bid at 2:17 of the third period. While he's posted three points in as many playoff contests, O'Reilly also has a minus-3 rating from his top-line role as the Wild have bounced back for a 2-1 series lead. The Blues' star center has added 11 shots on net, though his lack of physicality means he needs to score to be worth an investment in DFS.
