Barcelona can get climb back into La Liga's top four with a draw or victory on Sunday as they visit crosstown rival Espanyol. Barca entered the weekend in fourth but were jumped by Atletico Madrid, who won on Saturday. A victory will put them two points clear of fourth. Meanwhile, Espanyol are in 13th place and seven points above the drop zone, needing likely just another couple more wins to secure their spot in the top flight.

Team news

Espanyol: There are no significant injury issues for Espanyol, but there are a couple key pieces that are at risk of suspension if they get a yellow in this game. Those are former Barca defender Aleix Vidal and central midfielder Manu Morlanes. Espanyol enter this game having conceded a goal in 12 straight matches.

Barca: The injury issues remain for Barca, with Clement Lenglet, Ansu Fati, Samuel Umtiti and Sergi Roberto all still out. Memphis Depay has been sidelined for almost a month due to muscular problems as well, but Barcelona are well suited to take on Espanyol thanks to the additions of Ferran, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adama Traore. On the suspension side, Jordi Alba is a card away from getting a one-game ban, and Dani Alves misses out on this match due to his red card last time out.

Prediction

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gets his first goal for the club as they take all three points on the road. Pick: Barca 3, Espanyol 1
