The top three teams in the 2021-22 Serie A table have started to separate themselves a little bit. But with fourth place and eighth place separated by just seven points and at least three European qualifying spots hanging in the balance, there's still plenty of excitement in store the rest of the way. On Saturday, seventh-place Fiorentina will host eighth-place Lazio in a game of critical importance for each side's chances of playing European football next season. The teams are tied with 36 points and Fiorentina is ahead only on goal differential. You can see what happens on Saturday when you catch all the action live on Paramount+.

The game will be played at Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence on Saturday and kickoff is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET. Fiorentina is the +140 (bet $100 to win $140) favorite on the 90-minute money line while Lazio is the +200 underdog in the Fiorentina vs. Lazio odds from Caesars Sportsbook. A draw is priced at +235 and the over-under for total goals is 2.5. Saturday's match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Italian Serie A picks for Lazio vs. Fiorentina

Before you tune in to Saturday's match, you need to see the Fiorentina vs. Lazio picks from sports betting expert Jon Eimer. Eimer is a high-volume bettor who has vast knowledge of leagues and players across the globe. Since joining SportsLine, Eimer has covered the English Premier League, Serie A, the FA Cup and much more. The Indiana-based handicapper compiled a winning record of 260-133-1 with over 90 units of profit for his community on various platforms over a recent two-month stretch.

For Lazio vs. Fiorentina, Eimer is backing Lazio to win with a draw resulting in a push (+105). Fiorentina might be ahead in the Serie A standings, but it will now face an uphill climb to earn a European qualifying spot after selling star forward Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus for approximately $85 million during the January transfer window.

Vlahovic scored 17 goals in 21 matches in Serie A this season with Fiorentina, and replacing that production is going to be a massive undertaking. Defender Cristiano Biraghi is second on the team with four league goals this season, and no forward on the roster has scored more than three times in Serie A play.

Meanwhile, Lazio kept clean sheets in its last three matches before the most recent international break defensive struggles plagued them throughout the first 20-plus matches of Serie A play. Only Inter Milan (53) and AC Milan (47) have scored more goals than Lazio (46) this season, so if the defensive progress continues, the Roman squad will definitely be a threat to move up the table.
