Kenneth Faried: Joins G League team

Faired signed a G League contract with the Grand Rapids Gold on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Faired, who attempted to make an NBA return in February, spent his first seven seasons with the Nuggets and will now get to rejoin their organization as a member of their G League affiliate. The 32-year-old hasn't played in an NBA game since the 2018-19 season, which he spilt between Houston and Brooklyn. It's unclear what his role will be, but he will likely be considered for an NBA gig as teams around the league continue to be decimated by COVID-19.
