Pope was claimed off waivers by the Jets on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.
Prior to his release, Pope led Seattle with 162 rushing yards during preseason play. Despite the Seahawks' interest in keeping the Jacksonville State product on the team's practice squad, the Jets were able to snag the rookie before he could clear waivers. Given the Jets' depth at running back, Pope figures to make his biggest impact on special teams.
